Pain in the.... to start

I wanted to try out a new brand of chainsaw aside from craftman to see if Husqvarna was really that great in power tools but wow was I disappointed. The biggest issue with the chainsaw is that it's hard to start, much so that I even got blisters on my left hand from so much friction from the handle from pulling with my right hand, I would even hesitate to take a break fearing having to restart the darn thing. Another thing is that the chain quickly lost its sharpness. The trees I was cutting down were some mesquite trees that were at most 5 inches in diameter so it was nothing it shouldn't have handled.

I guess I'll just hold on to it and see what happens

I've had several chainsaws, but this one was the worse. It would not start when I received it. Took it a service dealer, he had to adjust the carburetor before it would run. Then the mechanic noticed that the blade would not stop when you engaged the breaking bar. So, now I waiting for the mechanic to replace the braking clutch. I contacted Husqvarna, they will not exchange or refund...so I'm stuck with a lemon. Do not buy any gas operated equipment from Amazon. Go to the a dealer in your home town. At least there you can talk to a person if there is a problem.

The bubble won’t stay primed and it won’t stay running. Wore two blisters on my knuckle trying to crank this. It’s junk! I’ve never had problems like this with a chainsaw, especially a brand new one!

When this is cold, I can nearly kill my arm to get it to start. Once it is warm I can start it with a few pulls. Being brand new, I expected it to start in 6 pulls MAX but I can pull and pull and pull. I wish it would start easier. Pretty decent otherwise.

Good saw but took time to break in

First of all this is about as inexpensive as I could find for any name brand 16” chainsaw. So I was happy for the price but honestly would have paid a little more than similar specs from other less reputable brands. Starts great.
However out of the box, the saw was unable to reach cutting speed or power and was stalling constantly when full throttle or contacting a log, no matter how slow I took it to max power. Unable to cut.
2nd day - same issue. Adjusted the throttle screw and that solved the low power issue. However I had to go from idle directly to full throttle or it would stall. Which I believe is not good for any chainsaw - esp a new one... also seemed to stall a lot when pointing upward to reach for limbs. Cut the heck out of some limbs.
3rd use. Stalled when trying to get full power but once it warmed up it was fine. Didn’t seem to stall but wasn’t pointing it up. Just doing limbs on the ground.
Will update review later. Maybe just breaking in, but seems unusual.
4th use - upped a star. Saw warmed up faster this time. Less stalls.
5th use - saw didn’t stall. Ran fast and cut some fallen limbs and then made quick work cutting down a 25 foot oak tree to firewood size
Seems like this chainsaw needed to break in. It runs nicely now

The chain saw that I purchased for my husband for Christmas was attempted to be used for the first today. Following the directions closely to get it running the engine kicked and it ran for less than 10 seconds. It stalled out and now he can't get it started again.

Took it in to the local dealer and they got it started but after a couple of weeks it will not start again. Moral of the story is by from a local dealer who will set-up the chain saw and show you how to use it.
