Powerful and Versatile
The 7021P provides a 21-inch cutting width, 1.5- to 3.5-inch cutting height, six cutting height increments, and four-point height adjustment. Its easy-starting, high-spec 6.9-gross-torque Honda GCV160 engine ensure smooth, efficient operation.
Like all Husqvarna walk-behind mowers, the 7021P utilizes a three-in-one cutting system and offers mulching, rear bag collection, and side discharge capabilities. Its mulch capabilities mean you can return vital nutrients back into the soil for a healthier, greener lawn.
Uneven terrain, bumps, and tight areas around trees and bushes are no problem, with the 7021P. 12-inch rear wheels and double ball bearings keep things smooth and stable, even when the ground isn't.

I didn't want my mower to be self-propelled. My 1/3 acre yard is fairly flat and easy to mow. I don't have any trouble pushing a mower around. Self-propelled mowers cost more, weigh more, and have more parts to break. But my biggest reason is you get less power to the blade because the motor is also powering the drive wheels. Just a plain ol' push mower for me, thanks!
The Husqvarna 7021P is a 21" push mower with an excellent 160cc GCV Honda engine. I'm not exactly sure when it happened, but sometime between the purchase of my last mower and this new one, the old standard of horsepower ratings has been replaced by a new "gross torque" rating. This is supposedly a more accurate assessment of a mower's power. I don't know...just go with it. This Honda engine is rated at 6.9 gross torque which is on par with, or somewhat better than, most other walk-behind mowers. And because YOU provide the power to push it, all of that torque is going to the cutting blade. The engine features a new Easy Start auto choke system that just plain works great. There is no primer bulb to push. For a cold start you simply slide the choke lever over, squeeze the safety bar on the handle and pull. Mine has started on the first pull every single time without exception. The choke releases by itself so you don't have to do it, and there is no chance of flooding the engine. Nice. The Honda motor runs smooth and strong.Read more ›
The Husqvarna repair center determined that the problem was with the engine, and that they wouldn't touch it because Husqvarna won't warranty work done on the engine because it's made by Honda. Whaaaaat? This is the reason why your lawn mower comes with two warranty packages, one from Husqvarna and one from Honda. The problem begins here... the Husqvarna repair center says Honda is responsible because it's an engine problem. Honda says it's not the engine, it's the transmission. Aaaand now the infinite loop begins. Neither company wants to be responsible for paying for the repair. I purchased the mower on June 1st, the problems began around July 5th. It is now August 14th and the mower hasn't operated properly for almost 6 weeks.. and I can't get it taken care of. I even asked Husqvarna to simply swap the mower for another one and they flatly refused, stating that they "don't do that". Then I asked if they would authorize me taking it to a dealer and having THEM swap it, again I was told "no". The kicker is that if I had just purchased an actual HONDA mower, I wouldn't have to deal with this garbage of two different warranties and two different companies.
I am extremely disappointed in Husqvarna's warranty and customer service, which makes me sad because I can never again recommend their products for the simple fact that they do not stand by their warranties. I wanted everyone to know what they're getting into before they buy a Husqvarna product that uses another company's parts.
6/11/2010 Follow-up: I was able to find a crankshaft online inexpensively which allowed me to try to do the repair myself. I am happy to report that the mower re-build project was a success and my Honda engine is purring along happily once again, may I get many more seasons of use from this very durable lawn mower.
