Outstanding CF, I've have several Eheims 2015, AC70/110, and was thinking about getting a Fluval for my newly acquired 125g, but they're so expensive. Hydor comes with long thick wide hoses for more water flow, and enough power to pump that much water. Lots of accessories, and so quiet, I have to put my hand on it to check if it's still running. It's running on my 125g, and probably could handle the job by itself, but I like a lot of filtration, and I'm not disappointed with these. Absolutely blows my other filters out the water. OUTSTANDING! Mines been up and running now for about 2 months - if you do not see any updates, assume that it's still running like a top..Trust me, you're going want to get one of these..

Awesome filters! After buying my first one, I have purchased 3 more to replace my eheim 2215s. I have 2 of the 450s on my 120 gallon tank and 2 350s on my 75 gallon cichlid tank. They are so much easier to maintain than the eheims and I feel, work better. The hydors suck up more poo from the water and have a stronger flow coming from the spray bar. I didn't really use the media that came with these filters because I wanted to use the established media from my eheims. I feel like my fish are spoiled!

Best investment ever for aquarium

Was a breeze to install...and cleared water in less than 8 hrs...have a saltwater 55 gallon aquarium....water had been cloudy from sand installation...started clearing the cloudiness immediately...the only thing to note is that a carbon package is not included which is pictured on box but needs to be purchased separately...it is so silent and the water flow so graceful you don't even know it's on. I've used Marineland, Fluval, tetra, penguin, and aqueon filtration and bio fitration equipment. Hydro is by far the easiest one that I have installed and easiest to pull apart for cleaning and inspection.

Great filter for a turtle tank

I've only had this installed for an hour and I'm already very pleased with it. I'm using it in a turtle tank and you can already see all of the gunk being filtered out. It is absolutely silent. I have a fan running in my room most of the time and that is louder than the filter.

My only recommendation is to include a longer out hose for those who have to leave the water level lower for a basking area. I got creative and just used the extra tubing to lower it into the water. The instructions were also a little hard to follow but once I figured them out I was very happy, and so was my turtle :)

Hydor 350-Awesomeness

I have only ran this filter for a few days and so far I'm impressed. The flow rate is astounding as well as the quietness of the motor. No vibrations. It does however leak the first time once it is assembled. I had to loosen and tighten the hose connector once to seat the seal and it quit leaking. The only thing I would like to see done differently would be the suction cups, I like things where they are hugged up as close as possible to the glass, the spraybar sits about 3/4"-1" away from the glass and the keepers aren't very stable, however that will change over time when they are in the water. Other than that, for the price of the 350 you can't go wrong. I love it. Also, the spraybar is super long, 4 sections and it measures out at a little over 3 feet. Really nice coverage and surface agitation. I may get another soon just for backup.

Hydor filtration unit via Amazon Prime

First time user of Hydor 250. Put together the unit and tested it for 3 days. After which a leak was detected next day and luckily I placed it inside a bucket during the testing phase. I returned the unit via Amazon Prime return policy and received the new unit the following Saturday. The replacement works perfectly with no leaks. Must have got a lemon but Amazon return policy is terrific. This is why I paid more for the purchase of the Hydor 250 from Amazon versus EBay

This pump is awesome! it was easy to assemble -- It did take me a few tries to prime but once it got going it is super quiet and pumps a lot of water through... be sure to purchase some bacteria starter and water clarifier and use it according to the labeled instructions... you'll have a clean tank for months without having to do a water change (only adding water as it evaporates)!

I've tried just about every filter sold at Pet Smart... this one just blows them all out of the water =) Don't waste any more money on the gimmicky filters that are loud and require a lot of maintenance and having to buy cleaning media every 2 weeks etc. etc.. Get this! Your fish will be happy, and in turn, so will you. It's low maintenance, quiet, and just works.
