As an update this hydroponic garden is an unqualified success and best money I’ve spent to get a supply of fresh veggies and herbs.
I didn’t quite know what I was getting into by ordering this hydroponic garden kit, but I’ve stumbled upon a new and tasty hobby because I try to eat healthy and always want to have a variety of fresh herbs, veggies and, of course, hot peppers on hand for my Asian cooking.
The unit was packaged well with all parts neatly packaged in their appropriate sealed bags and assembly was easy with all parts fitting and working perfectly with no modification needed.
I did need to contact customer service on two separate occasions and a satisfactory quick reply was had.
After some study seeds do germinate much quicker grown hydroponically with my Thai Basil, shown germinating, and Tokyo Onion germinating at 3 1/2 days.
I set the timer to supply 16 hours of daylight at 6pm so it also has the cost saving of illuminating my kitchen saving on doing some common tasks.
Being a “neatnik” I like the fact no cords dangling down from the light source to get in the way.
While it’s cold and snowing out this winter I’m looking forward to also harvesting a fresh supply of Romaine lettuce and tomatoes.
I added the latest picture of my great hydroponic garden. Everything is growing and I’m busy harvesting, already. Will be buying two more for Christmas presents for children.

Easy for an hydroponics beginner with a non-green thumb!

Everything was well-packaged and labeled for use in the manual. Instructions for assembly of the unit were clearly written, and setup was a breeze. I'm only on Day 2 after planting, but in the last photo, you can already see the condensation showing in the germination caps! I had a challenging time finding seeds in an off-season growing period, but managed to find a decent variety in windowsill kits at my local garden center. I'm looking forward to mixed greens sprouts, cherry tomatoes, basil, cilantro, and spinach!!! I live to eat fresh veggies, so hoping this will be an awesome supplement to my dietary intake, since I don't usually do well with plants! FYI, the growing light is very bright, so would recommend you have the 8-hour off cycle when you are sleeping, regardless of where it is in the house, unless you can close many doors between you and it! The first night, it kept me awake from the upstairs bathroom, it was so brightly lit! I've been cycling the power to shift the time half an hour at a time to get it on a better schedule for me. Overall, a great purchase for a beginner at hydroponics, who isn't usually plant friendly! I will make an effort to update my review with additional photos as growth occurs!

I put in lettuce seeds on the left side and it starts to sprout in about 4 days.
Light got automatic timer, I wish it can have a timer that I can set when to turn on, but I think most of them does not have the option.
After all, I think it's a fun toy to have at home when you don't have the outdoor space, but if you want to have veggies for meal, it will be too little. Will try to grow herbs instead

Amazing project for children to learn about hydroponic farming. Assembly is really easy for them to follow. With minimal supervision even a 5 yr. old should be able to do it. All parts are basic matching of arrow signs and foolproof slotted fit. If they don't fit easily. All you do is reverse it. It's a well thought of design. 3 tier center post extends to around 18 inches clear so you can let the plants grow that tall. Lighting system with multi spectrum wavelengths is easy to control from the top. Everything including 2 parts fertilizer are included in the box. All you need is the seeds. We are planning to start with Romaine lettuce that grow easy so the kids don'tget bored waiting. They are excited to see the results.

I like that the light can raise as the plants grow. The light is really bright. I think it's cool that there is a pump that moves water around. It says it will move every 30 minutes, for 30 minutes. The instructions say it will sleep for 12 hours at night, probably to avoid waking people in the home. It comes with food and dirt to start growing - just need some seeds. I want to grow cilantro and other small herbs that I'll use regularly. Once they are started plants, I may move to a larger planter. Maybe I'll try to grow tomatoes next spring.

Started seeds Sept. 28, 2021 (I did let them soak in water for about 30 minutes first). Basil is growing like crazy and close to start harvesting, oregano and parsley germinated slower, and cilantro is keeping up with the basil. Only one pod (cilantro) didn't germinate (growth pod got moldy so discarded it when seeds didn't respond so starting another). Love the timing feature on this (turns on 9a, turns off 11p) and it seems to keep the water level without major evaporation. Loving this first time trying hydroponics and this system makes it so easy!
