As I approached the second half of the book, there were very particilar things I can do today to move towards increased sales. The second half of the book takes you to another level, that I haven't seen in a sales book before. Clearly D. Fish has real life experience and spent the time to analyze what actually works and is needed to be sucessful. Instead of "always be closing" and possibly not have success, D. Fish shows how to "always be moving towards a successful close". Instead of "win or lose", you can "win AND win some more", which is far more profitable and fun.
And it was a great read, well written, well edited. You won't be wasting your time and I feel the price is a bargain for the value I got out of the book.
The author does an excellent job of contextualizing modern sales within the broader context of the changing role of the salesperson. His reference to listening to sales coach Brian Tracy's audio tapes made me smile. Mr. Fisher has walked the sales walk for decades, and in this book he provides both perspective as well as valuable and concrete advice for the sales professional.
