with or without the warranty the headset itself is great, but I am finding it troubling in the ...
I bought this on the assumption I could buy this part listed in photos. I don't know where I buy this, but I bought this on the assumption if my mic dies, i can replace it, and since i have this problem with headsets, this is why I went big on a top rated item. All-in-all, with or without the warranty the headset itself is great, but I am finding it troubling in the senses to not be able to part it out and buy replacements. however, no big deal, awesome warranty. For fan service, I have to say - The box it came in was the cherry on top of the experience I keep it and house items in it, currently as again i chalk this to fan service, it was truly wonderful to be shipped a box that had a solution in it, and provided me an actual awesome extra packaging box for like probably some sustained use of 1-3 years. So, Yeah, I know that's at length but truly impressive to buy something today and have it shipped and come in a container that was actually not something to dispose of. The headset itself rocks some awesome quality in sound. My only gripe is with the speaker head comforters that while can go on easily, often fall off. I also would like to make a point I sleep in these, so my use of them are quite heavy. So it's been roughly 1-3 months, with no problems, typically I can kill a logitech headset in approximately four days with the same use. So this item is clearly winning out for me, the only other issue I've had was cable extension, I am using a logitech usb extension + a usb with mm audio jacks for sound/microphone. the cable that came with the device is great, but length is an issue if you are into actually using your headset and having some mobility, ie: reaching over here for this while you are gaming, etc. So, in short, the product is fabulous, I still do wish I could purchase extra microphones before one ends up in a bowl of cereal or something, since I would equate this feature to a modern day tooth brush, I want to replace the brush, not the entire unit that scrubs my teeth with ultrasonic waves. So, in the line of thought, If applicable I would even like this unit to ship with spares. All that said, that's a high demand, but at the end of the day, if my microphone breaks sure I can wire up and jerry rig a microphone in there but.... defeatist, I suppose I should be more hopeful of my warranty but all-in-all even with a 5 day SLA, that's like 2 weeks, for something I could have replaced in 30seconds. The quality of the chord is good, and with the logitech usb hub, my hub for the volume for this unit safely "Breaks off" in the event of any pulling, preventing a lot of strain on the unit itself, which is nice, as i have have had incidents in the past of the copper wiring requiring soldering in the middle of the unit for all sorts of various real world incidents. All things considered, I would genuinely recommend if you buy this product to find the usb extension of your choice as the chord itself is maybe six feet on its own. And having the break off methodology of preventing an incident, is a life saver. So Thank you hyper X, honestly, I couldn't be happier, also worthy of note is that the headset itself while on can prevent somewhere between 20-30decibels, I'd rate it for a vacuum cleaner, but only with higher than regular volume use. So, again, Very happy in more or less every way with this unit.

You know that saying "You get what you pay for?" Well while that usually applies to most things, that does not apply to this headset. In this instance, you get way more than what you pay for. This is a beautifully crafted headset that feels like it is made of the highest quality material. It comes packed away in a nice box that neatly holds the headset and all of the extras. The first thing I noticed when taking the headset out of the box was how sleek and sexy they looked. They do not look flamboyant or do some fancy lighting effects like some other headsets do. They simply look simply great.
The next thing I noticed was the quality of the build. The aluminum frame felt sturdy and I was amazed at how soft the ear pads felt. If you want to know how clouds feel wrapped around your ears, try these headphones out.

But what is a good looking, sturdy gaming headset if the sound quality or mic quality is crap? Let me preface by stating that I am not an audiophile, I do not know to tell the difference between what are good hi's, mid's, low's, and other technical jargon. All I care about is if it sounds great and people can hear me clearly on the other side. Let me tell you, these sound pretty good. I also own a pair of audio technica ATH-M50's, and while I think music sounds better on those, these hold their own and also cost me $60.00 less. The Hypers also have a bit more bass, which may or may not be a good thing depending on your preference.
As for the mic quality, it is good, don't expect spectacular, but it gets the job done. Sometimes there might be a little bit of interference or background noise, but more often than not, the people on the other end can hear me fine.

I do not think you can find a better gaming headset for cheaper. This is probably the best bang for your buck purchase out there. I have no regrets and would highly recommend purchasing these.

This is probably the best headset that I have ever purchased. These are replacing a pair of razer Kracken's that get somewhat uncomfortable during longer gaming sessions. So I was looking to get a replacement for them when I saw reviews for these. And when I saw and read numerous positive reviews on these. I pulled the trigger and bought them, and boy I am glad I did.

For starters the packaging is very premium for what I spent and is presented very nicely. Just by the packaging alone I would have figured they would be about $200 not the sub $100 price I spent. It comes with a 3ft attached braided cable with a long braided extension of about 3ft. Also It comes with a carrying pouch, airplane adapter and 2 sets of earcups. One set of leather earcups that are on the headset, and a set of cloth ones which you can swap if you want. A detachable microphone if you only want to use this as headphones only. The mic itself is pretty goods and I got no complaints from my WoW guildmates that it sounded funny or off. And the headphones themselves sounded excellent. I have been able to wear these for a couple of long extended gaming sessions with very little discomfort at all. I do wear a pair of gunnars while having these on and they are not uncomfortable to wear with glasses at all. The only real gripe with these is where they put the inline volume controls. They are on the extension rather than on the cord attached to the headset. But I find this more of a annoyance and doesn't hurt the quality of the headset overall.

If you are in the market for a superior, well constructed, quality headset that is very comfortable at a excellent price. I couldn't recommend these enough, and at sub $100 these are a literal steal and a must buy.

This is my first gaming headset I've ever bought, so I read a lot of reviews about which one seemed like the best quality for the price, and this HyperX Cloud Gaming Headset seemed to be the clear choice. I had a cheap headset before, and it felt like it was trying to squish my head in whenever I wore it for more than 2 minutes. But this Cloud headset fits VERY comfortably, I don't feel like it's trying to crush my head in, I've worn these for 2-3 hours at once, and never felt like I needed to take them off because they hurt. The mic on this headset is detachable, which I love. However, there was a LOT of static on the microphone at first, but I think that was because I was using the front audio port on my computer. Once I switched it to the rear audio jack, the static went away. I also had to turn up the microphone boost, by right clicking on the volume icon on lower right of my desktop screen, select Recording Devices. Then select the microphone, click the Properties button. Select the Levels tab up top, then move Microphone Boost up from 0 to +20dB and click OK. That worked for me, it may be different for other people, but I had people tell me once I made that change they were able to hear me loud and clear. I have an average size head, and these barely fit me on the largest setting, so if you have a larger than average size head, you may want to look at another headset.

Another thing I like about this Cloud headset is that you can tell it's well made, a lot of cheaper headsets feel like they're gonna break as soon as you try to put them over on your ears, but this headset is very sturdily built, I see them lasting for a long time. The real leather ear pads are very comfortable, and you can tell as soon as you put them on the passive noise cancelling works. Which may be a bad thing sometimes if you want to hear someone next to you, or avoid being murdered from behind, completely unaware because you can't hear anything because of this awesome headset. I have NOT tried the Velour ear pads yet simply b/c I like the leather ones, they feel really good and I see no need to change them now.

Summary: Get this Cloud Headset, it's a great buy for the price. The headset is amazingly comfortable for extended wear for long gaming sessions, they may be small on you if you have a larger than average head, so be aware of that, and the mic may require you to use the rear audio jack instead of front for less static.

July 27, 2016 Edit: My headset broke last night, I bought it Dec. 4th 2014, so they lasted a little over a year and a half. There was also a small piece that broke off on the left side that kept that the headphone area adjustable, but I fixed that with some small piece of cardboard and some tape. Not a dealbreaker, but then the right side of my headset just stopped working for no reason, can't hear anything out of it, so that's kind of a bummer. But I was impressed enough with the headphones to order the newer HyperX Cloud 2(II) version, and I definitely feel I got my money's worth out of this product, I just wish it lasted longer, and didn't have a piece break off, so I had to knock my review down to 4 stars.

Reviewed in Mexico on July 24, 2018

      - Blue Yeti (fantastisch/außer Konkurrenz, kein Headset-Mikro)
