Flash forward two years. I keep this in my garage year round. Twice a year I pull it out to start it and make sure all is OK. I noticed last year that the fuel line was starting to rot. There was a slight gas leak but it didn't come from the fuel line and stopped after a few seconds. It ran fine so I put it away. This weekend I took it out to start it again and checked it over. The fuel line is now worse, but at least still in-tact, enough to last until I can replace it. However when I opened the fuel valve to start it up, gas started pouring out of the side of the carb. After cleaning up the mess I decided to wheel it back to the garage for now and will take it to get fixed soon. As I was wheeling it back, I noticed that one of the wheels was wobbling. Upon inspection, it looks like the hub broke and I need a new wheel too.
Maybe the engine being a Hyundai will last but as for the rest of the workmanship, I'd say this is junk. I shouldn't have to get these many things fixed considering it has spent a sum total of 8 hours running in its lifetime.
3 pulls on the cord was all it took and it ran like a million dollars. Its pretty quiet for a generator and within 1 hour the battery was charged enough that I could use the push start and it fired right up. I tested all the curcuits and off 1 120v plug was able to run 2 flat screen TV s / 1 computer
/ modem and router and a lamp for light it never slowed down or changed the way it ran. It is easy to push or pull where you need it. I'm a very happy camper!
Oh we lose power a lot here with all the tall trees so I'm feel much more comfortable knowing I'll be warm and entertained when the lights go out
I want to thank Amazon for quickly stepping up and buying me a new battery at no charge to me
I am having problems with the battery holding a charge , every morning it is dead and I have to recharge
It started immediately, and was as quiet as my 7 horse Duro-star generator, and quieter than my 5.5 horse Honda log splitter. I just ran it for a few minutes, ran an air compressor off it and no indication of the motor feeling any resistance, while my 10 horse Generac would have let me know. I'm very impressed. So much quieter than a Generac, huge muffler.
Update. I must have got an oddball. Posts below, buyers received the 13 horse as advertised.
