What I wish I could say, "Alexa, start my car".
Which would then lock the doors if needed and start the car with the climate control in the same place as when I last had it on.
What I have to say, "Alexa, tell blue link to remote start my car and set temperature to 68 degrees fahrenheit".
Alexa, "To tell blue link to remote start your car, say your pin or say cancel"
Me, "one, two, three, four"
Alexa responds with "Request for remote starting your car with climate control has been sent"
Silently fails if doors aren't locked
First of all, to figure out the right sequence of words to get this to work was a long sequence of trial and error. There are way too many words involved.
Silently failing if the doors aren't locked is soo frustrating. Why don't you just automatically lock it?
I'm not sure what the intended use case is but this is so slow and cumbersome that it's basically unusable outside of a party trick.
I can understand legal issues and kid safety around requiring a pin every time you send a command and require it be locked before remote starting but at least let this be options that we can override.
If we could at least setup shortcut commands that would make this drasticlly better
