We already have this book and love it. Both my kids have enjoyed it very much. But I was buying this as a present for a friend's new baby. I can't give it in this condition and was disappointed that it didn't have the new design on the front as stated. I'm sending it back I'm afraid.
Also having dug out our original copy of this book which my children adored , in comparison there are pages/leaves missing from the one I have just received which is 8 scenarios so I'd say this is a copy not an original version of the book. Please see my photos for comparison in thickness of the books . Very disappointing.
It basically says 'I love you no matter how you are... whether you are good or not..'
lots of pages... very satisfying compared to some books that end very quickly.
I do understand this is used to show a universal picture of parents loving their children...
but the only thing I have to say is that my 3 year old got a little confused as every page features a different child with a different parent. When I read it to him, he thinks its about him which it sort of is... but then each page features a different child, sometimes a baby and sometimes a toddler,..
