Product Description

I Love Lucy is a TV classic, and continues to entertain generations of fans throughout the world. Challenge your memories of the I Love Lucy show with this unique board game. Recall the zany antics of these beloved comedic characters, Lucy Ricardo, the irrepressible, lovable housewife who cannot seem to avoid trouble, Ricky Ricardo, her musician husband, who adores her despite her attempts to break into his act, and their loyal landlords and friends, Ethel and Fred Mertz, who somehow manage to get mixed up in Lucy's crazy schemes. Whether wrapping chocolates at Kramer's Kandy Kitchen, stomping grapes in an Italian vineyard or driving across country to Hollywood, Lucy and the gang are sure to make you laugh. And if you don't know the answers, "you got some splainin' to do." Recommended for kids to adults. Recommended for 2 to 4 players or teams.

Unless you have a strong familiarity with every episode of I Love Lucy, a round of the I Love Lucy Trivia Game may leave you feeling a little out of the "Desiloop." Players move around the board answering questions (true/false, multiple choice, and specific) about the classic sitcom. Do you remember the first six words to the Vitameatavegemin commercial? What time did Ricky return to the hotel after the film premiere? How much was the fare when Fred took the taxi to Grand Central Station? What happened to Charles Boyer's clothing when Lucy asked for his autograph? Name the man who got Lucy and Ethel their jobs at Kramer's Kandy Kitchen. How much did Lucy win in Monte Carlo? This is definitely a game for hardcore Ri-cardo-carrying fans of the show, so while they're playing, other folks may want to curl up on the sofa and watch I Love Lucy reruns. --Tony Mason

I received "The I Love Lucy Trivia Game" about a year ago, and it's still in fine condition! So, I'd say this wears pretty good, but it sure isn't very educational for kids. Sorry, but what hotel the Mertzes stayed at nearly 50 years ago, just isn't that important in making big decisions. :-/
Although! This is a great gift for that "Lucy nut" in your life. It has really hard trivia, not just simple questions like, "What color was Lucy's hair?" or something else WAY too easy. This will truly challenge those "Lucy nuts" out there, so I recommend it to anyone with a passion for "Lucy". :-D
I do hope this review helped. :-)

Very challenging. Thats all I have to say. The game is fun but the questions are very tough. I knew some of the answers but not many. Even when watching I Love Lucy for a long time I still don't know all the answers but thats what makes it tough and challenging but fun and you learn more about each episode. There are 250 cards in the box and each card has 4 questions on it. Its a fun game that will get your brain to really think about each question. There are muliple choice questions, true or false, and questions with specific answers. The object of the game is to be the first person or team to reach the final square by successfully guessing questions read to you by your opponent(s). Over all its fun but tough.

I am a huge fan of I Love Lucy, and I have many episodes memorized backwards and forwards, but there were still some puzzling questions in this game. This game is definitely only for die-hard Lucy fans, not the casual watcher. I imagine it would be a big success with Lucy fan clubs, and groups of Lucy enthusiasts. Some of the trivia is very minute, behind-the-scenes details. Having read many behind-the-scenes books, some of the questions were still a bit obscure. Still, it's great fun for the Lucy enthusiast.

I was so excited when I recieved this as a birthday gift for my 20th birthday! After my party, I had a few people stay behind and play this game. We were all avid Lucy fans, yet none of us found this game all that much fun. I probably liked it the best out of everyone, but even I got bored with it. The questions are just too difficult for most people. They ask for specifics that are impossible to know, unless you are a complete Lucy fanatic. I will never play this game in a group again. I do find it fun, however, to just look through the cards every once in a while. There is a lot of information in the cards, and I suppose this game could be fun for some one who has seen every Lucy episode 200 times.

The people who shipped and sold this is my only issue with this product. It said like new but the box was taped together with damaging tape and all scraped up, Luckily the game inside was pristine and undamaged otherwise I would have returned it, but the box is awful, and they should have mentioned that in the quality of the product so beware of seller. THIS GAME THOUGH IS FOR TRUE LUCY FANATICS, OTHERWISE YOU WON"T KNOW A SINGLE ANSWER.... JUST WHAT I WANTED... A PRO LUCY FAN TRIVIALPURSUIT-ESQUE GAME... I had this game as a kid and it was too hard now I LOVE IT

As someone who's seen every episode of "I Love Lucy" eight million times, and who thinks the show is the greatest sitcom of all time, I enjoy this game very much. If you're planning on buying this game for children, however, these questions may be a little too difficult for them. I can finish this game in about five minutes, but that's only because I've read just about everything ever published on "I Love Lucy" and am involved in some Internet chats on the show and so forth. Even I get stumped, from time to time, with some of the questions. But then again, some of the questions are pretty easy, too. So, if someone wants this game, they should also at some point buy the book "Desilu," or Lucille Ball's or Desi Arnaz' autobiographies. Or just tune in and watch the show on TV. This game does give you a good feeling like you're recreating a "Lucy" episode.

You can have a lot of fun with this game as long as you don't play precisely by the rules. Who, for instance, remembers how much Ethel paid for those shoes she wore in Connecticut? Hang loose and just go for another question. We found the board to be a little boring but much less complicated than the other I Love Lucy board game. I suggest you get it and just play with the questions. You can get a lot of enjoyment out of it this way, as we did.
