The book has plenty of unexpected twists and turns that keep the reader engaged in the plot right up to the last page.
I highly recommend this well written book to anyone who is looking for a steamy romance. You will not be disappointed. I can't wait to read the next book in the series, "The First Child".

Her American style of writing add authenticity and roots I Made You First firmly in California. However, for readers from across the pond it provokes some interesting imagery. Such as what is a wife beater? Is dish water blonde a compliment? A commode in British English is a chair that doubles up as a toilet, and as for piddling around the house - well the mind boggles! The odd typo and formatting errors don't detract from the overall quality of writing. I look forward to reading more of Ciara's work.
Jurnee just torpedo's into sex, not really wanting or looking for any possible relationship. The story was simple, with lots of steamy action and suspence in a very few down to earth words. As the reader, you are almost sucked into feeling exactly what the main character Jurnee is in each (sometimes awkward) situation she finds herself in.I'm a huge fan of playful, romantic dialog. It satisfies my craving for a good read on all levels. My biggest problem with this book is that I read it much to quickly because I was on pins and needles to see how the story would end. I say this is a good problem indeed!I highly recommend this book and am on to the next of Ciara Threadgoodes incredible books!
This is the third book I have read by Ciara Threadgoode. She set the bar high with her brilliant novels 'The Second Diary' and 'Granny's No Angel' so I wasn't sure I would like this book as much. I needn't have worried - I loved it and will seek out more from this talented author. Thank you Ciara!
