Wowwy... wow.. wow!! What a great novella that I flew through to finish!! Who says that books have to be long and drawn out??? Scarlett Metal has mastered the art of short reads that are packed with an amazing story line, touching characters, and her signature... HAWT sex scenes!! I Remember You is a home run!!

I Remember You is the story of two high school sweethearts who are torn apart by a pregnancy scare.... and it is not the two of them. I fell hard for Lance right off the bat in this book. He never felt like he was good enough for Sam. He was from a broken home, and she was from money. Even as a teenager he was endearing and your heart just bled for him. Sam is a natural beauty both inside and out. She has a heart of gold, but even her true heart is put to the test when Lance tells her he may have gotten another girl pregnant in one of their "off" times. It is too much for Sam to take and she breaks up with him.

Fast forward ten years... Sam and Lance have a chance encounter brought on by fate! Lance is now a famous rock star and Sam is about to publish her first novel. They run into each other... literally... at a gas station while Lance is in town to perform a show. You would have to be blind not to see the chemistry and the fact that neither one of them has gotten over the other. It is this spark that makes for some hot sex and leaves you crossing every limb hoping they get their happy ending with each other.

I give I Remember You 4.5 stars on the knock my socks off scale!! I loved this story, these characters, and how Scarlett Metal took a potentially sad story and turned it around in such a short read! Lance is a very sexy, sensitive, "real" rock star and he finds his equal in Sam. I found myself singing the Skid Row version of this book title throughout reading, and I LOVED IT!

This was a free, very short novella about Lance and Samantha, a couple of teenagers who fell in love, were torn apart by a mistake that he made with someone else, and were separated for many years. In the meantime, he becomes a famous rock star and she lives her mundane life, writing books but not finding "the one" who makes her feel like he did.
I wish it had been longer with more details given to the time they were apart living their own lives. It was a bit predictable what happens when they unexpectedly run into each other and then it was romance on speed after that...cramming all those lost years into a couple of night. However it was enjoyable and fast-paced and sexy...every moment was important with no fillers. A sweet love story.

**** 3.5 **** "you were always the one" stars

This was a great story about a couple, Sam and Lance, that separate for several years due to a misunderstanding. When they finally reconnect, it is hot hot hot!! Lance changed into a bad boy rocker and Samantha a successful writer. It was a story of their lives reconnecting was powerful and romantic. I loved this book and I can't wait for their story to continue.

Samantha always thought she would marry Lance that he was the one true love of her life. That was until the day that his ex that he slept with when their on again off again relationship was in one of their off stages. The girl shows up unexpectedly and announces that she's pregnant and when Lance breaks the news to Samantha she runs away and tell him to never contact her again.

Years later even with the knowledge that the baby that his ex was carrying was not his, he doesn't tell Samantha and he leaves town to pursue his dream of becoming a rock star. Lance always thought Samantha was too good for him so he let her go but has never been able to love another. He's lived a hard life full of alcohol and tough times but eventually he's able to pull through. Samantha has been with many men but even after all this time, her heart still belongs to Lance. So when Lance returns to town with his mother to take care of some business, fate is on their side and they run into one another at the gas station. Samantha can't help but feel those old feelings rising to the surface again when she sees him so on a whim she goes online and purchases and ticket to see his concert in a near by town, little does she realize that the ticket is in the front row.

Lance is shocked to see her there and so he goes about reintroducing himself into Samantha's life. Can they give love another try? Is their love strong enough to withstand his fame and the past that tore them apart?

I loved this story. It was short and it was sweet and I really enjoyed reading it, being able to connect with the characters in this story right up until the end. It was nice to read a book that was short enough for me to finish in one short sitting, 4 stars!

4.5-underwear is optional--stars

I Remember You has steam, love, swooning, heart-ache, and a bitch! Who could ask for anything more? Samantha and Lance loved each other since high school but had an on again off again kind of relationship.

They were happy and in love so you know what that means? Cue the bitch and the trouble she brings with her. Their relationship was not able to survive the aftermath that the bitch brought with her.

Years later fate brings them together and sparks fly as soon ass they see each other but will that be enough to rekindle their relationship? Has too much time passed between high school and now?

I Remember You has just the right amount of everything to keep the reader turning the page. When it is steamy--it is STEAMY, when the heartache comes go get yourself a few tissues and when it's time to swoon you will have a big smile on your face. It's such a good read.

As always with novellas they are over too soon and have me wanting to know more about the characters. I can only hope that there will be more of Lance and Samantha in the future!!
