I honestly never heard of this movie until I happen to see it being added to Prime. I'm glad I took a chance on it, because I thoroughly enjoyed it which makes me wonder why it didn't get much attention . Eddie Murphy is arrogant and HILARIOUS ! Wilson, a capable comic force in his own right, gets laughs too, but for the most part he’s content to play the laid-back straight man setting up Murphy’s punchlines.. It is slow paced in the beginning but it does pick up and satisfied my comedy craving fix. I’ve never seen the hip sixties TV series starring Bill Cosby and Robert Culp on which the movie is nominally based, but I gather that the connection is so tenuous that it doesn’t really matter. I'd watch again.

I’ve seen this movie at least 300 times. No exaggeration. I love it. It’s hilarious. Eddie Murphy is fantastic!! If you haven’t seen it, you should. Maybe not 300 times but at least once. It’s an hour & a half well spent.

neither good nor bad...just getting a bad taste of another awful movie out of my mind.
after watching a cringing 15 mins of Annette...i looked for a funny comedy, and this helped me forget the bad Amazon movie Annette...but this comedy movie was just okay over all

There are times that a movie is appreciated for being straight forward without deep multi layered meanings. Eddie looks in pretty good shape as a boxer for this character and quite fast at his boxing moves. Hard to believe the movie is almost 20 years old now. Both were almost 40 when they made this movie.

famke janssen is the only positive aspect of this movie. owen wilson attempting to speak hungarian gave me more laughs than anything in the script or eddie murphy's improv.

i only purchased this movie because i am building a collection of films shot in hungary.

I enjoyed watching this movie very much. Lots of action and made me laugh.
