Awkward , sad, funny, a little heartbreaking...I came across this by accident when looking for a movie of the same name. So glad I watched it!
At first I thought it was a stalker movie but turns out its much more a character study of 2 people.who absolutely believe that they have relationships with Tiffany and obsess over her endlessly.

Great documentary, it just puts it out there with no bias, shows it all: the good, bad, scary and light heartedness even of being bat shite crazy obsessed with a performer. I came into this film with no real idea, thinking for the most part that they would be harmless obsessives but the level of delusion and addiction was very scary. I kept thinking, so what happens when they feel betrayed by their target... what happens when they feel the target has cheated on them? well, we've seen what they can do, happens all the time now, the fans killing/attacking the stars. What also came thru was how absolutely entirely miserable these people were. I felt sorry for them. There also was the shocking moment when one obsessive moves onto another target to stalk, after decades of 'faithfulness'. would love to know the psychology of that moment.

anyway, a great, touching, sad and alarming look into these peoples delusions and motivations.

Ever thought about wanting to be a fly on the wall in a looney bin, where here you go. The two main characters are bat shit crazy, and lovable and disturbing and awe inspiringly weird. I could give two shits about Tiffany or her career, but to watch the train wreck that is a couple of her fans is priceless. This movie is full of cringe worthy moments, the moments that are hard too watch because they are so overly embarrassing for the people on the screen. A true gem!

It was very interesting for a documentary to cause me so much empathy for a stalker. I also felt that it didn't go that deep. For example, the most interesting moment in the film for me was Jeff's friend who is autistic too saying that, like most autistic people, Jeff got obsessed with a topic and didn't read social cues on how other people view that, but "he's not dangerous!" These people have friends and church pals who have accepted them, and that was one moment where I got to see the psychology, this one guy understood both Jeff and life well enough to explain what was going on with him. Sadly, the people making the documentary didn't have this quality.

There was just this moment where Kelly's friend is being interviewed inside Kelly's home, every surface of which is covered with pictures of Tiffany, and... I mean guys, how do you go over to your buddy's house, and just shrug that off and talk about gay bars? I have so many questions that were never answered, and I feel like a lot of the high ratings this documentary gets are giving it too many props for the question half. Compare this film, for example, to Tickled.

I found myself extremely sad for the two subjects of this documentary, so points to the filmmakers for creating empathy. I wonder if they know what they were getting into, as they both suffer from cognitive issues.

There isn't much moving this along from a narrative standpoint, in my opinion. As someone else stated, I would not be surprised if Tiffany was involved in the production. I kept questioning how a man who was deemed a credible threat is allowed close access to her.

Still, I say give it a look. At about an hour, it's not a long time investment.
