I really enjoyed this novel, it was extremely different from all the other english versions of yaoi novels I had read in the past. Translations were excellent in that the sentence structures flowed and didn't appear to be too literal of a translation causing fragmented thought or sentences. Artwork was simply mediocre in the pages, however the cover was wonderfully depicted.
Plotwise, it had alot of great potentional that could have been caried out further. Meaning, I would have liked to see more action. Most of the action was centered around the conclusiong. Most of the stories is written from Isaac's point of view, and the sadness of Isaac's murdered family and the finding of the culprit is protrayed extremely well.
Overall, if you're a yaoi lover, I highly recommend this book. It does have some spicey smut scenes that most will love. Too bad, there isn't a sequel.
I've read a myriad of vampire stories, from non-anime/manga related to shonen-ai/yaoi and others in between, but this one stands out....I liked the fact that the hunter is not a dhampir like in other stories where the hunters are always half-vampire human hybrids....
the sex scenes were erotic enough and I just liked the characters...both were fun in their own ways...
Overall the story didn't go too much in to the dramatics....it had enough drama to move it forward, but not so much that it overwhelms the love story....
