Bateman's book is moving and heartfelt - it tells the story of a young man fighting antigay prejudice in the South. Bateman is a strong advocate for LGBT teens and his experience in the book's strongest point. It's a short book and the reader is wanting more - hopefully the next chapters will come soon.

First this book is an easy read, so even if you're not a big reader you will be able to read this in a day or two! I know this kind of bullying goes on, and did when I was in school too, but when you're not the one that's actually going through it, it's hard to understand how it can really hurt deep down inside. Kudos to Rich's parents for being there for him no matter what! Everyone should be so lucky to have parents like that!

This is a must read for anyone who is involved in raising awareness for our future generations.

I read this book this morning and enjoyed it very much. A very timely true story and should be read by everyone. I can only imagine the type of torment he felt. Prejudice in any form is just wrong. Be kind and don't bully anyone. It doesn't look good on people. Kindness and compassion are the true way to go.

Thank you to Rich Bateman for putting it out there for the world to see. Hopefully this book will go viral and open eyes and hearts. Not only in the south, but worldwide.

As a classmate of Rich's, I'm sickened to know this was occurring while I was having the time of my life. The book is amazing, a must read...I was unable to put it down from start to finish. I am anxiously awaiting book #2!
