Choose Your Words
These poems made me want to snap my fingers and shout my applause. They made me pause and ponder the depths of her messages. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone who wants to be moved by the power of words. :-)
I found myself a green space outside the hospital and for a couple of hours I walked by myself and read aloud, swept away by the strong emotions and messages, the sometimes hard and sometimes soft beat of the words, and the vivid imagery. The blurb says that this collection of poems focuses “on Black History, Identity, Personal Development, and Spirituality. Readers describe this collection as touching, intelligent, personal and deeply soulful.” I can’t say it any better. A moving read and if you can find a place to read it aloud, you won’t regret it. Highly recommended.
If you are poetry lover, this collection is one you may wish to check out I Am Soul. Cheers!

I Am Soul
Published by Literary Korner, December 2017
I found myself nodding now and again as the poet talks of issues people of colour can relate to, life's struggles, and confiding with trust and faith to the creator. And "Love Letters to Some of the Black Women Who Inspired Me" is just so fitting.
This collection is a manifestation of the heart. Get yourself a copy, and be moved!
A great read for anyone who loves poetic prose and for those who are unsure. There will be no question after you read this book. You will fall in love with poetry!
