Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Retention tabs might be ok for a LIF socket, but questionable at best for ZIF. Looks like it expects to hook under processor, but Socket 3 has an extra row of pins when used with an 80486 series processor and there is no lip. Couple blobs of hot glue on the edges will hopefully keep it in place.
This is a very basic fan for a 486 processor. It did fit securely and was quiet enough to be undetectable over the other fan sounds from my power supply. It dissipates heat well enough for a 486/66 running at stock clock speeds. If there were overclocking involved, I might recommend some thermal compound. The heat sink fits in such a way that I feel thermal compound could be used.
