The game plays in about 10 minutes per player over 10 rounds (the learning curve is maybe the first 2), at which point everyone's pyramid is complete. Scores are tallied from points gained by your pyramid, obelisk, and tomb, with bonuses for glyphs that appear on certain stones in the right locations. Kudos to the publisher for including a score pad. The package is the same one used for Biblios, with the hinged opening and magnetic clasp. Pyramids doesn't exactly have a small table footprint, but it's quite fun and easily portable. I think Biblios is a better game for two players, but both are best with three or more.
