iRig Mix is an ultra compact portable DJ mixer tailored for use the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. You can easily mix two stereo audio signals and crossfade between them. An input trim stage lets you amplify any source, and the 2-band EQ gives you flexible tonal control over each input. A microphone can be connected for DJs, rappers or announcers, and any electric instrument such as a guitar or bass can be connected. All inputs can be internally compvined in the iRig Mix. A CUE system is also included which enables the DJ to preview individual channels at the headphone output to prepare the next song (sync the tempo, adjust the EQ, match the volume, etc.) to ensure smooth mixes. iRig Mix comes with IK's free VDJ application for iPhone and iPad and is the perfect companion for all the other popular DJ-related apps in the App Store. iRig Mix can also function as an audio interface for AmpliTube and VocaLive, for mixing small bands and even karaoke applications.

It's powered by a micro USB connection, so if you want to take make it fully portable, you can just power it off an external USB battery pack. I used it for a couple hours off a 10,000 mAh pack with no issues what so ever. I really like this & I love the suggestion the other reader had about outputting to an FM transmitter to play through a house stereo too. It seems like it acts like a pre-amp for the audio as well, bumping it up quite a bit over just playing your phone through a stereo.
I did notice the headphone jack crackled a little if I pulled at it, but it might just be a 1/4" to 3.5mm jack converter.
Used it as the main mixer between my iPad and a Numark double cdj player.
It worked a treat handling the audio from both devices with ease.
Plus I attached a monitor through the monitor/headphones jack. All worked with no problems.
For the money and considering its size I would recommend this for novices and pros alike. A must have.
Very small, it's a joy to look at and use. I like the sound quality very much. I guess my only complain would be that one of the pots got noisy after very little use.
Under certain switch configuration/setup you will saturate the mixer to the point it shuts itself down with an unpleasant fart-like sound. I wish they considered protection for such scenario and prevent the shutdown which is pretty annoying because it forces you to cycle power. This happens only when you flip the wrong switch at the wrong time: read the manual so you know what the switches are for.
These design mistakes can be improved, but overall I love it and I would definitely recommend it.

My main issue with it is I ended up hearing a lot of electrical hissing through my headphones when the volume on the device was turned up.
Still, it has 3.5mm inputs which could be useful for very particular needs, and obviously it works as a fun little mixer that works on your iPhone/iPad.
