Great Cover with One Small Problem

This is my second version of this cover for my iPad (3G). There are a few changes in design that are both good and bad. The good is that the iPad is more firmly supported in the case and therefore less prone to fall out. This was accomplished by extending the rolled over edge along the sides and top. Great idea. But. The hard edge interferes with the proper insertion of the headphones mini-plug. Not good. In order to plug in your phones, you have to remove the iPad from the case, which kind of defeats the purpose of the whole thing, in my opinion. If your a tiny bit handy, as I am, and own a Dremel rotary tool, as I do, you can easily remedy the situation by cutting through the edging around the headphone jack and widening the opening slightly to accommodate the plug. Works like a charm. For this reason, I ding it one star.

Our children bought us an I pad a several years back and it came with a red case very similar to this one. After a couple of years it finally needed to be replaced. I must have bought 4 cases trying to find one we liked as much as the original one. Finally, we saw this one and thought we would give it a try. When it came in we immediately knew this was just what we were looking for. The Ipad fits securely inside the case. We like how the magnetic closure automatically turns the Ipad into hibernation mode. The case also acts as a stand for the I pad when we want to prop it up to watch a video with the grandchildren. It folds open similarly to a book so the "cover" protects the screen from stratches and breaks when not in use. We ordered the back case and we really like how sleek it looks. The case appears to be made very well and seems like it will be very durable. It protects our I pad from falls and drops, which is very important when we have grandchildren who can sometimes be very careless with electronics.

Odd color but overall working well!

At first I was shipped the incorrect color so I have also seen the pink version of this case. The purple color is a very odd shade and not at all what I would've chosen if I was the designer, but it isn't unattractive. It's definitely more on the red side, but I would still consider it purple.
The front does take some bending to "break in" and lay closed flat (at least mine did). I got a "warehouse deal" on mine so it was extremely discounted. For the price I have very little to complain about. It stands up easily, I can use it with my origami keyboard stand, the cover flips back and lays flat when opened. Sleep/wake works great for me and the front stays closed as it should. Typing position seems a little lower than I would prefer but I primarily use my Bluetooth keyboard and stand for this so it's not really an issue. So far I am very pleased with the quality vs value. I read in some of the reviews that the edges could begin to peel over time. This happened with the fabric on my STM skinny case that I paid $30+ for so not expecting much from this $8 case, but if it lasts a year I will be truly impressed!

Best iPad 4 Case I Have Tried

Invellop really knows how to make their cases. I have tried many cases from any different companies, and taking both quality and price into consideration, this one is the way to go.

I first purchased the black version of this case several months ago. It has held up fine, and as of today still has no signs of wear and tear. I decided that I wanted to purchase a white version to contrast with the black face of my iPad screen. This case looks so SHARP. I love it.

The built in magnets for the smart cover feature work perfect. I have had no issues of it waking up my iPad while in my bag. The stand folds back perfectly, both for typing view and the standing movie view. I only use my iPad in horizontal view, which is what this case was made for. It will definitely stand vertically as well if you need it to, but I do not believe that would be a very useful viewing angle.

The quality of this case is what really sparked my interest in Invellop's products. The faux leather is very convincing of real leather. The case is thin, so it is easy to carry and easy to slip into my satchel, but it is also heavy duty and does not feel flimsy at all. I think it would offer fair protection if you are silly enough to drop your iPad. It is not an Otterbox or anything that heavy duty, but it certainly does the trick to add a stand, style, and basic to moderate protection of an iPad.

As I said above, taking both price and quality into consideration, these cases are the way to go. It should be noted that I tried the magnetic smart case, and hated it! It feels flimsy, and offers no protection to the back of the iPad. This case protects the back, and all of the holes line up perfectly with the buttons and charging slot.

I would give this product 10 stars if I could. Buy it!

I got this case for my wife for her iPad 3.
This is a GREAT case for its price!
My wife uses her iPad 3 A LOT and her previous iPad case didn't stay looking good and was looking pretty beatup after only after a year!
She has had this case for almost 10 months and it still looks nearly new with very little wear.
It is a sturdy and heavyweight case that does ads some extra weight to your older iPad, but it is a very streamline case and hugs and holds the iPad very well and the cutouts for all of the controls and docking port are done well and make it easy to reach all of the controls.
A well made and constructed case!
Worth the asking price!
