It has a hole on one of the cap that invites user to use the reader as a key chain, but I fear it will lose off, so I don't use it. It would have been a better idea to make a hole on the main body instead of any of the parts you can easily detach. But anyway, I don't use it and I don't need it. So, fine with me.
One thing bothers me a bit. The plastic around the USB plug is kind of wide and cumbersome. And though it looks nice, it won't fit on some front panel USB ports and you will need to use a USB extension cord, which is not provided. You would only need a 4-inch extension cord, but the shortest I've seen on stores is like 4 feet long.
Easy workaround, just plug the reader on a back side port. Those are more likely to have some space at the sides and will fit the reader just fine. Thing is when the back of a computer can't be easily reach.
But if you have an open and easy to reach USB port with some space on the sides on your computer's front panel or you use a laptop only, this device is sweet.

I've also used it as a thumb drive in a pinch (the cover can be put on _over_ the SD card; a 1 gig card lives in mine constantly, which _also_ means that I always have a spare card handy), and to move files to and from my phone's micro-SD card with the standard adapter (which can live in the drive).
I never thought I'd carry an SD reader habitually, but this one's so compact and useful that it's in my pocket more often than not. This has allowed me to save files and share photos and video in situations that I couldn't otherwise. The portability really does make all the difference.
The product works great, simply plug and play.
My only complaint was it is very wide and does not allow for my other USB drive on my MacBook to be used at the same time, which wasn't a huge problem for me. Maybe this is true for many products, but better spacing of the USB ports or a hub/extender would easily solve this problem.
