my only gripe is instead of a turbo and clear button on the face of the controller would have been better suited as 2 more usable/ mappable buttons. other than that it's gold, i use it for snes emulation on a netbook and it works great, i just map start and select to the secondary triggers since the turbo and clear face buttons cant be mapped.
I've only used the pad briefly with games. The dpad itself isn't the greatest for fighting games, but it does fine with other games in a pinch. I also wish there were some start and select buttons.
Anyway, I love this product, and it's super portable.
The pad does work. It looks like a cross, but given that my thumb was eclipsing it, I treated it like a big and rounded pad, almost like the Master System's d-pad. This means it's comfy enough so I didn't get blisters, but small enough that I sometimes hit 'down' when I meant to hit 'left'.
There's good spacing on the face buttons, and they're tilted slightly so you can rotate your thumb over all four with ease without snags. They're a good shape so you can mash each one individually without worry about slipping into another, and they've got good spring to register all those presses.
The turbo/clear buttons are a little complex, but they're tied to the controller and will work on any OS (tested on Windows, Linux, Mac, Android): hold the Turbo and then press a button; when you release Turbo, that button now has rapid-fire. Hold Clear then press a button, and when you release Clear, that button will no longer have rapid-fire.
The shoulder buttons are an issue; since the controller is so small, you'll probably barely have the flexability to hit the outer buttons while hitting the inner ones (or hitting the outer ones without hitting the inner ones).Read more ›
You may see the pad has Turbo/Clear buttons. They don't work. It has dual LR shoulder buttons. They work. So I have to assign Select/Start to L1/R2 (or L2/R2). Weird.
Windows detect the pad as "8-button gamepad". This means Turbo/Clear buttons won't work. I tried this pad for android too. Turbo/Clear didn't work as well.
The flaw is the hinges aren't reliable for long term use for those of us who hold the controller harder during intense gaming. The hinges lasted a few hours of game play during a megman X/X2/X3 marathon and it only lasted until Megaman X2. Once the hinges come off, that's it, the controller is in 2 pieces and is useless.
I ended up having to buy another USB controller to play roms with.
Hinges are a weak point and can break rendering it useless

The design is fantastic, its just the directional pad's design is flawed. Its very mushy making precise control difficult, as it is easy to over control...Published 1 month ago by Ryan Korniloff

The idea behind this controller is neat, but the controller itself falls flat. Like other reviewers have said, it is very small. It's actually painfully small for my hands. Read morePublished 12 months ago by Tyler Baker
