The zoom only work with IE browser.
Some Chinese products never more. Upset with Amazon for selling this low quality product.
The other product I bought was missing the remote control, also Chinese product. It is a gamble, it can work or not.
The control panel has controls to close so if you use an IPad or touchscreen, you might hit something you don't want to select, also, the pan control works the opposite in safari and chrome browser which also does not support zoom. IE does work fine. The view never goes up to looking straight out at 90 degrees, it is more like 70 to 75 so you are always looking downward from where the camera is mounted.ive had to mount the camera on an up angle to get a tree line view. Support is from china so there are translation issues and time differences for responses. I chose this primarily for the zoom feature but I wouldn't buy another one
wireless connection drops randomly, i would say avoid it if you can...
wired works like a charm!... responsive & good resolution/quality of video, not super but works for its purpose.
night vision works good..
recommend this if you want just a camera to view thins on area.
Pros: It does everything it is advertised as being able to do(rare in cheaper knockoff versions of electronic gadgets).
Cons: Only has full functionality with IE browser(which I hate). The WebUI(control interface) and the Settings interface are ok, but somewhat awkward. There is a firmware update option, but I have not been able to find which firmware to download. I am pretty sure the camera is a Foscam knockoff(Wanscam?). I have seen people claim that they were able to flash official Foscam firmware to this camera...I have not been willing to take that chance, for fear of possibly bricking the camera, so I don't know if that actually works. I would like to update the UI and Settings firmware if any updates are available though.
Also...the UI and the Settings contain multiple spelling and grammar errors. This has zero effect on functionality but does make it extremely obvious it is a cheap Chinese knockoff(and also inspired my review headline).

Had this cam for just 1 year. The wireless section is gone bad and there is no support from the manufacture. Thus I have an expensive paper weight. Dont buy this onePublished 5 months ago by Gary Smith

First and foremost, the zoom is 2x. Not 3. I measured it by zooming in on a ruler. The image quality is ok. Not great, but decent. Read morePublished on January 9, 2014 by Christopher Guarino
