A perfect size for Syrian hamsters; water bottle doesn't work well, colors are limited

This size is just perfect for Syrian hamsters, for a vet visit or just a temporary house while cleaning their cages. It looks nice as well, and I've gotten a lot of positive comments about it from people at the vet's office.

My only complaints are about the water bottle and color. I have filled the water bottle on a number of occasions, but I have never seen a hamster actually drink from it. I've popped off the glass tube for them to drink out of, because I don't think it works as it should. It's nice to have it, especially with such limited space, but it would be nice if it had the same tube ending as normal bottles.

The only other complaint -- and this is minor -- is that these are only available in light pink and baby blue. The blue one is just ok, but the pink is not that attractive (and I like pink). It would be great if this were available in green or yellow, or any other colors really.

That said, I have two of these on-hand, one for each hamster, just in case. One pink, one blue, to keep them apart.

I really like this, it has lasted well for over 7 months, however I'm giving it 4 stars because my mice can chew through the holes in the top really quickly and easily. They do warn you of this, though, so it wasn't a surprise. Also, do not use the water bottle that comes with it when traveling, because it will spill; only use it when you're waiting or stopped.

This is a very well constructed travel carrier and I am especially impressed with the travel water bottle included. The space is adequate for even a teddy bear hamster or pair of dwarf hamsters. The latch is decent but I think there's a chance it could come undone, I'll secure the enclosure with like a bungee. Good size would fit in a tote bag or like the top half of your backpack.

Good and solidly made. Have yet to test out the water bottle. But good enough for travel. Sturdy security "lock" to keep hamster inside securely. Still a bit cramped so travel should probably be kept as short as possible in this thing.

I love using this little plastic carrier for my turtles! It's plastic so it can handle water and feces but can be a little slippery. I would reccomend paper towel down no matter what pet you are transporting in here. By the way, this is relatively small. A hamster might fit in here but nothing bigger. Definitely not a cat or rabbit carrier.

I bought this to transport a small bird, but it was much smaller than expected. I recommend this for small critters like mice or dwarf hamsters, but nothing bigger than that.

It is a very nice carrier though. It locks easily and securely and the handle is tight enough that it doesn't swing when you are carrying your pet.

i purchased this for my cockatiel but it was in no way large enough but it will be a perfect emergency carrier for my budgies! the carrier is very sturdy and well made & when one of my co workers saw it she had to have one for her daughter's sugar glider!

Perfect for my winter white hamster! He comfortably sleeps in here during travel. Also I read some reviews of people complaining about the waterbottle and how it spills--first off there are instructions that come with the case that tell you to keep the bottle flipped upright during travel so that it won't spill water. I followed those directions and no water was spilled, it is perfect.

This really is a nice little cage. Its great for mice and hamsters, and I'd even say baby rats but it gets cramped for an adult rat... The water bottle that is included is wonderful and every cage should have this. This being said, if your animal tends to defecate when he's nervous (like my rats do) and has a touch of diarrhea (vet visit, sick rat), you might want to take that into account when putting him into such a small cage... When I took mine out, she'd stepped over her messes a hundred times and perhaps even slipped in it... She wasn't exactly the same color anymore... She certainly didn't have the same smell anymore. At the very least, consider putting fleece in the bottom if your pet is comfortable with this.

I think it’s a cute little carrier for a hamster. Problem is the lock is super flimsy , upon further looking at it I see it was broken during shipping?.. even if it wasn’t I would not recommend carrying it by the handle..

I am so far in love! this cage is very good for hedgehogs, hamsters, rats, mice, sugar gliders and i plan on using it for my budgies. Since they are under 6 months, they are very small, and there still is plenty of room! This is also my first review,but i thought it might help some other people. It also comes with a small water bottle, i wont be able to use it since i have a parrot, but its very cute and useful for those u can use it. I plan on getting a blue once i get a hamster or hedgehog, really great!!!
