I have had a couple of nice larger diagonal cutters for awhile, but I've been wanting something to work on small electrical projects, and these are great. They feel great in your hand and cut solid copper with no problem. I've cut up to 10 gauge solid copper with ease and I use them all the time to trim guitar strings and they've been doing a great job with no signs of wear for the past couple of years.

If you're looking for a smaller diagonal cutter I would highly recommend these.

I was looking for a very sturdy well made set of flush cut diagonal cutters and I certainly found them with these! I think these are definitely worth the premium over the other competing products, they are very well made and should last quite a long time. I've been using them to trim leads from capacitors and resistors as well as cutting wire ties in my computer cases, they cut extremely easy and require very little pressure. If you need a small set of flush cut diagonals that will list a long time, these are the ones you are looking for.

Pros: works great; ergonomic palm-sized so perfect size to get into small places plus my hands don't hurt the next day; points are not sharp enough to gouge wires or humans but cuts well on the blade - these are cutters not snips and I like that

Cons: none at all; well...they are more expensive than some, but the value makes up for the cost; cheap tools are bad news

Other: highly recommend to anyone who must constantly cut zip-ties and wires inside enclosed spaces

I got these to cut off excess leads on the soldering kits I'm making, but they are not suitable for the job. I liked the idea of "induction hardened cutting edge that stays sharp longer and is made from Nickel chromium steel", but a couple of the parts I snipped were clearly much tougher and now the cutting edge has impressions from the wires that will reduce their effectiveness. It's unlikely my components are made from hardened steel alloy, so I conclude this tool is sub-par and perhaps not as described.

This is possibly the worst pair of diagonal pliers on the market. I cut several lengths of .025 MM piano wire with these and each cut left a "dent" in the blades. That's a wire about twice the size of a human hair. I then used an ancient pair of craftsman 4" diagonal pliers and cut some additional piano wire all the way up to 1 MM which were unmarked.

As I bought these more than 30 ago I can't return them to Amazon. They work OK on soft brass and bronze and plastic but so does a pair of heavy scissors.

I use these on countless 14-22 AWG wires on a daily basis, and they are still sharp after heavy use for the past few months. These are excellent for the price, and the stiff rubber contoured grips have not gotten loose like many other more expensive flush cutters I have used in the past. Stellar handle design, and good durability of the steel... and easy to spot in my tool box with the bright yellow/blue handles. They can't be indestructible, but whenever they wear out I will be buying another one of these for sure.

These are great little flush cutters. The handles are nice and thick, so they are easy to hold. The spring action works well. The tip is off center, so there is a sharper point on one of the sides, which helps a bit for precision. They are very small, yet feel sturdy, and there is no wobble. Very little force is required to use them, and they have stops to prevent them from opening or closing too far, which many other small cutters do not have.

I used these to assemble electronics, and they snip soldered leads very close to the board. They also work well for cutting small wires, and can clean cut copper braid/wick in one pass.
