The plastic dispensers share the same bad design because the blades won't slide out unless you get it perfectly aligned with the slot and sometimes the blades get stuck together, so taking them out of the dispenser can be frustrating. I like to do it the proven way -- the plastic cover pops off easily by prying open the tabs.
Both are pre-oiled.
Both brands are exactly 0.245" thick measured with my precision caliper. They have exactly the same double taper in the same geometry to create the edge.
The Lenox blade is also Bi-Metal, so it looks like the only differences are that the Lenox blade has a thin titanium coating on the edge, and Lenox has four notches for alignment in the knife holder rather than two.
Both are very sharp, excellent utility blades. Minus one star for the poor dispenser design.
This is a pack of 50, which is pretty impressive at this price. Love buying things in bulk.
The best thing about this particular product is the plastic container it comes in. So convenient and well-thought-out. 50 blades will last most people a very long time, so you want a nice dispenser. This one is heavy-duty plastic and the blades are under tension so they don't fall out. However, when you want one, you push along the top and one blade slides out without any risk of cutting yourself. And it easily hangs on a nail. Good job, Irwin!
They cut without effort. I just used one to slice some garden hose ends off for replacement, it cut through them without effort.
Don't waste any more of your time with cheaper blades, pay a few extra pennies a blade for these amazing blades.
It also takes a LOT of effort to damage or break off the tip on these blades. It's not impossible, but, you have to give it some serious effort, like scoring deep cuts into commercial VCT on many many tiles, can wear down or break a tip, but it's rare that your going to put that much pressure on one of these knife blades. I likely still change my blades more often than necessary, just to keep a really sharp blade in my knives, but I would say they do last quite a long time.

Great product. Very sharp, yet holds up well to box cutting, as well as the abuse of prying and other uses for which they were never intended.Published 12 days ago by Homohabilis
A little more expensive than other brands of blade, but last far longer. I've tried about every brand available and have found these to remain sharp the longest. Read morePublished 24 days ago by Larry C.
No complaints. They cut until I dull them out and need to replace them. I do like the amount that the safety contained holds.Published 2 months ago by jeod
I bought these blades for lots of cutting of carpet. drywall, and insulation for a large remodel job. Read morePublished 3 months ago by Joseph Novak
