This watch is fantastic! I can't believe how many people complain that this is overpriced! How can you compare the pure beauty of this to some small problems like money? Let's be honest most of us have at least a $250k leisure budget each year & this easily fits in. If you are trying to save money, buy this watch! Can you measure the importance of being on time always?? Also there are some great features about this that are not listed here. For example, I bought this watch shortly after both of my arms had been lost in a horrible jenga accident. Only a few short weeks after buying this watch, it grew my arms back for me! The back of the watch will slowly open up & the da Vinci code will be revealed to you. It also is powered by yellowcake uranium, which was a small problem at first, but I've got a guy now! So here is the bottom line, I am positive that if you buy this watch you will inherit a small European country, all the models in a 50 mile radius will be throwing themselves on the hood of your Maybach as you speed to the club, unicorns will appear in your servant's quarters, and most importantly people will look to you as a leader, a sign of pure intellect. This watch can also be used for a hearty soup.

Before I bought this watch my life was horrible. I was constantly stubbing my toe, or knocking my elbow into the fridge door in my cramped 179 square foot apartment. I was so clumsy, always dropping my 1992 Honda Civic keys while on the way to my job, where I work at the sanitation department. Luckily last month I bought this Portuguese Minute Repeater Gold Watch. Now whenever I fall down or do something terribly clumsy I just push the button on this watch and go back in time one minute. The Minute Repeater is an excellent feature for those who are endlessly clumsy like me. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because at times, appearingly random, the Portuguese Minute Repeater Watch will not send you back one minute in time but rather to Portugal. I tried looking in the manual and it says it will do this from time to time so the watch can be serviced by the makers, who dwell in a castle on the highest peak in Portugal. Unfortunately this feature of the Minute Repeater CANNOT be disabled. So before you use this watch make sure you have all the climbing equipment necessary to make the 39,034 foot descent from Mount Olympugal on your person at all times, as well as a valid passport in order to leave Portugal.

4/5 stars due to the fact I am spending a lot of money on one way plane tickets from Portugal to LA.

Since I was laid off at the asbestos plant three years ago, my life took a turn for the worse. Shortly after I lost my life insurance, my wife needed a double-kidney transplant. After cashing in the kid's college savings, selling the dog, taking out a third mortgage on the old homstead and selling a heck of a lot of my blood, we had finally saved enough for my love's surgery. Then I saw this watch! Well folks, I'm here to say: Yes, I caved and bought it. But man was it worth it! It looks fantastic, keeps great time and my life has never felt more complete. The leather band feels like it was made from butter, and the white gold seems to glow as if possessed by the spirit of a magical sprite or elf!

Sure, sometimes I miss my wife, and I wonder how our kids may be doing at the orphanage, but then I activate the Portuguese Minute Repeater on this puppy and troubles be gone! A steal at $73,000!

When my watch finally showed I was elated ! Finally had a watch who's brand I could spell ! When I got it unwrapped and un boxed It sure looked pretty nice. However my elation soon dissipated when I found the incorrect time on the dial. So I set the time and it did not change as it should have.Five minutes passed and nothing happened. Great, I figured a damn dead battery. So I go looking how to remove the battery.
Unscrewed the back off the damn thing and didn't see any battery like I have had in my previous watches. So I started digging deeper into the innards of the watch.I thinking, for this kind of money it must be a very small battery.Well the more of these little parts I removed the more dismayed I became. Now I had about 40-50 pieces laying on my bench and no battery. What the hell!
Threw all the damn parts back in the fancy box and sent it back. This was just before Christmas so maybe thier a little backed up with all the returns.Hope to hear from them soon.

I see a lot of jokes but after going to IWC's website I see this model number is not listed. Therefore it probably no longer in production. But the newer model repeater watch goes for 93k. At least I can dream. But the watch is real and a thing of beauty if you're into watches. Most I ever paid for a mechanical watch was 500 and that was after a lengthy lay away. But I'm just a hard working dude from the Bronx.

This watch is a rip-off. It's nowhere near as nice as the Titanium Zenith that I purchased for only $59,000+ on a gold-box deal last month.

Instead, this is a cheap imitation Portuguese watch with precision Austrian movement. I only wear the finest genuine Portuguese watches with Swiss precision. After carefully inspecting the certificate of merit, I realized that this watch was actually assembled by the Azores. Imagine how the silver spoon fell from my mouth onto the ivory rhino horn floor when I realized that I'd been duped. If it isn't assembled by descendants of the Knights Templar within the historical boundaries of Lisbon proper, it just isn't an authentic Portuguese wrist watch.

Next time I fly to Vienna to shop for pastries, I'm going to have a little chat with the Office of the Iberian Consulate about this shoddy merchandise.

I'd write more, but I have to take Chloe out for the day. We're shopping for ponies. That always lifts her spirits when she misplaces one of her emeralds. She adores them so.
