I am tinkering with solar, I could pay to have someone build, spec etc, but wanted to learn end to end about the pieces, parts, rules, etc, and have been "playing" with small setups. I found this the most invaluable kit. Has room for a couple other things as well as what's in it. I bought a set of ends in addition to restock the holders in this, and constantly grab this kit when I am doing anything new. I like it.

The carrying case has no pacific place to keep your tools organized.
If buying this because it has a handy carrying case you'll be disappointed.
A small duffel bag will do much better.
You'll only get frustrated trying to set the tools into the little straps that makes no sense.

The crimper arrived all scratched up from being Stuffed in a case that is too small. One strap was torn off on arrival. As others have stated the grip release is poorly located and requires a screw driver to open it. If I didn't need these so bad I would return them.

The connectors that came with this set are garbage so I wouldnt recommend using them. The plastic tools are flimsy and basically useless too. The cable cutter and crimpers are ok though and haven't had any problems with them.
