The Ibanez Mikro 3/4 scale electric guitar is perfect for last minute rehearsals, running scales while waiting for downloads, young rockers just joining the fray or anyone who just wants a smaller neck and body. Not to be confused with other small guitars, the Ibanez Mikro is no toy. Mikro features the same construction, high quality and careful set-up of the Ibanez full size GRX and GRG models. Mikro's 22" inch scale length (standard guitars feature a neck scale from 24 3.4" to 25 1/2") makes it the right choice for beginner players or pros practicing on the tour bus.

The ONLY thing I found with this guitar is the frets are rough. Like VERY rough. I have a dressing stone and will take care of it next time I change strings. This was probably a QC issue at the plant which slipped through.
If you are deciding between the Squier and this one for a 3/4 guitar, buy this one. It's head and shoulders above the Squier.
After first impressions - overall, can't believe what you can get for $150 nowadays. Really better than I expected.
However, I haven't bought a new guitar yet that I haven't had to invest in or do my own setup to get it to right. This one was no exception - it was plainly in need of intonation and didn't want to settle down and stay in tune. I replaced the .009s and installed .010 strings to mitigate the inherent lower tension of the shorter scale; adjusted the truss rod; adjusted string height/radius and intonated (some strings, particularly the low E, fretted quite sharp in comparison to the harmonic at pitch). Also replaced the string trees with some graphite/teflon ones I had around; lubed the hold-downs and nut slots. The fret ends were not sharp but the crowns were rough - I gave them a light polish.Holds tune, plays and sounds much better now, acoustically, through my battery-powered practice amp or even my Marshall JCM for that matter.
Now it's a giant-killer. Really fun and great playing little shred guitar.
Got this through Six String Music, and they were great, very quick to answer questions, fast shipping, etc.
I would rate 4 1/2 stars but i wasnt given the option. Sounds good. Plays well. Only disadvantage is the nut. There is some fret buzz caused by the nut but that is completely fixable. Neck is nice and thin for small hands. Frets are close together, so good or bad depending on what your looking for. Overall, for the price the product is pretty good.
