The Ibanez GSR370 Bass is one that holds up to its higher end counterparts, without the hefty price tag. Poplar body wood provides a smooth and resonant tone, while the quilted maple art grain top succeeds at giving an eye-catching, beautiful aesthetic. Now, electronics. Upon opening the electronics cavity, I was pleased to find that it was factory shielded, just as all of my other GSRs (including Mikro) are...another plus for Ibanez on their budget models. The only difference was that unlike the models made in Indonesia, this didn't have Alpha pots...but what looked to be some cheaper China made variant.
All in all, a pretty decent bass...but I will definitely stick to their product made in Indonesia from now on.
