So began the one year of traveling to learn about ice cream aroundthe world. Starting in San Francisco, I made my way across the UnitedStates. Then I ventured abroad to Asia, South America, and Europe. Bythe year's end, I had met with more than sixty ice cream shop ownersand conversed with them in more than five different languages. Duringthat year I chatted with ice cream bloggers, I flew over 50,322 miles incoach, I stayed at a dairy farm and many private homes, and I lickedover a hundred pounds of ice cream!
What follows is a travel guide to ice cream in multiple countries.I have highlighted ice cream destinations and profiled selected shops.Now, go forth and lick some ice cream!
About the Author
Her favorite ice cream flavor changes depending on what is inseason in her geographic location. Fruits are the best. Jennifer believesthat there is no such flavor as the weirdest flavor. Rather, it is themost unfamiliar taste profile. Prior to this book, she created thirty-one ice cream flavors in the twelve months leading to her thirty-firstbirthday--some of those recipes appear in this book.
