The men's everyday short sleeve Crewe is the kind of shirt you'll automatically bring on every trip. Made from a light, soft, breathable 200gm rib fabric, it feels great as a stand alone shirt, layers really easily under another top in cooler weather, and.

As far as sizing, I prefer a closer fit than with my cotton t-shirts. I am 6'1 and 185 lbs, with a 41 inch chest. The Size Medium provides a perfect, close-to-body fit.
The only downside, and this is true of any wool clothing, is that it has a somewhat limited lifespan. After several months of use, and a few dozen washes, the shirt's fibers inevitably get a bit weaker. On the two occasions when I tore an Icebreaker shirt, I reached behind my neck and rather indelicately yanked it off. Both times the shirt was old and soaked in sweat. My advice is to be careful when pulling off an old Tech T shirt, especially if it's wet. Also, use Woolite to wash it, and never put it in the dryer. In my experience, the best way to dry it is to lie it on a flat surface. All in all a fantastic product.
I repaired the small hole and it does not show. But, this Everyday Crewe Top shirt at $60 is $15 dollars less than the Men's Tech Lite for a reason. Even though this is is from 200 denier thread and the Tech Lite is from 150, the weave on this shirt is much different and even with a black one you could see through it enough to drive a car, watch television, whatever. It is very thin and stretchy. The weave reminds me of panty hose -- no, I never wore them! An XXXL person would have no problem putting one on. Wouldn't look good, but they are that stretchy. An XL (I weigh 175, all Icebreakers fit without any bagginess) weighs 5.2 oz. while a two year old Tech Lite XL weighs 5.6 oz. Don't let the denier confuse you -- it's about the thread weight, not the thermal protection or fabric weight. Weave is important and these shirts seems cheap. Additionally the seams on the arms and side are lumpy, much like on a pair of briefs.
I have worn Tech Lites and the heavier long sleeve Bodyfit 260s for years and love them both. I haven't rated them and maybe I should. I would give them both 5 stars. Spend the extra $15 for the Tech Lites. Depending on you size and color preference, you can buy them here on Amazon for as little as $34 as of May 18, 2017.
I'll update the review after I wear it and see how well it lasts.
Update: after 1 hand wash and a few wears, the shirt loosened up a bit, so it's not skin tight. I wore this shirt several times on my 2 week trek thru Thailand in 95F humid weather. And I never washed the shirt once during that trip. It would be soaked in sweat, and dry off while I was still wearing it, and never developed odor. I even wore it on my 36 hr flight home. Ideally, I could have brought only 2 of these shirts for the 2 week trek and that would have been sufficient. It did begin to pill, like a typical wool sweater. Not too bad, but considering I've only hand washed it once, I was surprised. So I am sure it has a short life span. But you also don't need to wash it often.
So, this shirt is comfy, fits well, dries quickly, no odor, can wear many times before needing to be washed.
I did NOT get a free t-shirt in exchange for this review. I paid full price and I'll gladly do so again.
