I love Icebreaker's stuff, own at least 10 of their products, and Merino is becoming my go-to material for everything outdoors...however, Merino boxers are still not at a level they need to be at to become my standard outdoors garment.
They've kept the form for a day after the first wash. After the second wash, they've loosened up significantly, and started riding up my thighs, causing chafing. I took them on another hike, and gave them another chance - I really wanted to like them - but the performance was as bad as on the previous trip. In addition, by the time I took them off - they completely fell apart between the legs - it wasn't a small tear - they looked like a couple of years old pair of underwear that has been worn with a tight jeans, so the material slowly thinned out to a point where it just falls apart...nothing else to do but to toss them out in the garbage can...a huge disappointment...
