Note that my review is quite long and usually only the first half of it is shown on this page. If this happens on your screen and you wish to read the second half, all you have to do is press the "read more" button at the bottom of the review and Amazon will show you the rest of it. :-)
Icebreaker's marino wool items are generally made well, last a long time, are easy to care for, feel fantastic on the skin, are "natural", don't get smelly easily like polarfleece does, let the skin breathe, etc.
Many of my Icebreaker items have been worn and washed several hundred times and are still holding up much better than would be expected.
I am a BIG fan of this company's products. For my overall experience of them from around 2000-2010, I would give them a solid "5 stars"!
However, I regret to say that my opinion of the items I bought from Icebreaker in 2012 was not as high. In late 2012 I bought 7 different Icebreaker items (most of them in various sizes) and decided to return all of them because they were not as well-cut as the very "same" items that I bought in the 2000s (which I still have and wear, so I can make like-for-like comparisons easily).
Based solely on my 2012 experience of Icebreaker products, I would give them 3 stars, meaning "it's ok".Read more ›
Sizing review: I am 5'8" and usually fluctuate between 120 and 130 lbs, my measurements are 34 bust, 27 1/2 waist, 36 hips, 41 hollow so I have smallish boobs, wide shoulders, smallish waist so as far as sizing goes, its a good fit for a base layer. Not too tight and not too loose. I usually like looser fit tops when wearing street clothing but as a base layer, the medium fit me well. The sleeves are a good length for me as well, and I think the overall length is ok, probably fine for most people although I prefer a few inches longer. Anyways, if your proportions are like mine, a medium is perfect.

I'm a fan of icebreaker clothing. I've worn this alone with jeans or under sweaters as additional insulation against the cold. Can't go wrong.Published 13 months ago by Cindy C.
The top is comfortable and is a good lightweight baselayer. My only complaint is the neck of the shirt doesn't stretch! I can't put it on if my hair is in a bun. Read morePublished 14 months ago by Christina M Biagetti
Very comfortable, fits true to size, the sleeves surprisingly aren't too short for me which was great. Keeps you warm in the cold and cool in the heat! Read morePublished 15 months ago by kaz
