About the Author
“Icons of Fairytales Adult Coloring Book” is hand-illustrated by Michelle Buvala. Some people are born with the great gift to create with their hands. Michelle is one of those people. Whether she’s helping children create fun, wearable art or growing fresh vegetables in her garden, her friends are amazed by her creativity and ability to create something good from the simplest components. In her life she has worked in many places, from the excitement of the toy store to the challenges of the classroom. She’s an avid desert gardener and a founder of the local community garden. Michelle holds a degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University.
Sean Buvala researched and created the captions for these illustrations. As well, he crafted the computer-generated patterns in the book directly from the illustrations drawn by Michelle. Sean is a professional storyteller and has been engaged with storytelling and communication since 1986. He started his work by accidentally using some active storytelling to convert a classroom of slightly (but comically) homicidal 8th-grade teenagers from angry kids to storytelling practitioners themselves. From then on, both the kids and Sean were sold on the influence of a great story. He is an author, teacher, and performer but thinks the greatest part of his life is being married to Michelle Buvala.
