Programming the base unit takes a little time due to the number of configurable options. Reading over the manual a few times to determine the configuration for your application before actually programing it is a good idea. I would also recommend testing the system completely with the remotes and a cup of water with the base unit installed (and connected to the phone line if applicable) before deploying the remotes to their final location. Do this where your base station is installed. This will allow you to test and adjust your programming in one place without having to run back and forth to your attic, garage or wherever your remotes will be deployed. Once you've verified that the system is fully functional and that your base programming works as desired, then deploy your remotes and test each one a final time to make sure the wireless signal is strong enough to reach and activate the base unit. The text display contrast on the base unit is a little weak. I wish it were a bit stronger and/or adjustable.
I would buy this again and recommend it.

We bought this product so we could have some peace of mind when going on vacation. We have a home office in our basement and it would be a disaster if it were to flood. Read morePublished 11 months ago by Terri Smith

Easy to setup (use the PDF on line) and works well with Vonage and cable modem. I use a UPS to keep everything
working (no failures allowed).
It actually works quite well, and gives you some reassurance that any potential water links are monitored at all times.Published on May 4, 2014 by TPE mama
