These are solar lights for less than $2 a piece. You couldn't buy the solar cell, battery and LED's for that, let alone put together. That is a amazing.
The kit comes with everything you need. They even come with 16 holders so you can double their height if you wish. I might suggest that the first time you use them, throw the batteries into a nicad charger. That way you can really see how well they work and give them a fair review on how well they charge over an entire day of sunlight.
I'm glad I bought these.
I love the fact that you can just place them around your property where you want them and forget about them. No need to adjust, change batteries or do anything to them. The sun charges them during the day and the shine very bright at night. These light have powerful leds that lights up your whole outdoor when in place. They provide security by illuminating your property and at the same time looks great.
Overall- Excellent product, I would recommend these solar lights, they save on your electric bill and still provides great light.
1) The batteries die and replacement rechargeable batteries cost more than new light set.
2) The plastic becomes brittle in the sun after about 6-9 months and components crack if hit.
3) Some ended up not being waterproof, but still worked when the clear part was filled with rain.
1) Make sure you peel off the protective film that's on the solar cell.
2) Make sure you click 'on' under the lid when you first get them and 'off' if you are storing them.
3) Don't put them where they will get bumped. Dog leash crashing into them was the #1 reason some of mine broke.
Am I buying more? Yes, the price is cheap enough that it balances out the cons of you will need to replace in a year or two due to becoming brittle in the sun or batteries dying.
Sept.9/16: I told my wife to only use four at a time but No, she had to use them all at once. Our horses kicked them around quite a few times so they didn't last. I'd buy them again but they aren't practical if you got 1000 pound children playing in the yard!
The best solar lights I've tried to date were made by Sunforce. They have functioned very well for 2+ years now and only recently have I noticed them dimming a little, so I have replaced a few of the NiCd batteries in them.
