I was lucky enough to receive ID during the Midwest blizzard as an ARC for an honest review. A snow day with Jax and Bo, not to shabby. As for their story this one was different from the rest, mainly because Jax and Bo aren't a key part in the "group" setting, they are friends of friends and therefore didn't know each other. I really enjoyed this component, AND not to mention the whole TWIN aspect. I thought CM did the twin story justice. I really didn't want to hate Bora, Bo or Jax for essentially being entwined and it didn't happen. There was a smooth transition with sweet, hysterical, and touching moments.
The first 30% had me laughing so hard at times I needed to set the book down and just enjoy what I was reading, take a breath and continue. But as always all good things must come to an end, but CM you're sneaky and I seriously never saw THAT hiccup in the road. I could have just slapped Jax, but what Bo gains in the interim is worth the heartache.
Now, since these two are on the outskirts of the circle (making their way in) we didn't see alot of the other couples as we do in previous books, but IMO this was very necessary since we had little to go on and background of our couple. Don't worry we still get a peek at a couple pranks, triple dares, and auto correct text messages gone horribly, hysterically wrong.
I always feel redundant when writing a Sterling Shore review "it was great" "i loved it" "blah blah blah" but really it WAS great, I DID love it, and I CAN'T wait for the next one :)
oh and PS - Vince Jaggons, I can't even.
C.M. is so amazingly talented and she just has a way with words...
“You’re going to have so many thoughts that contradict each other,” Ruby proceeds to tell me. “One second you’ll want to scream. The next, you’ll want to do a happy dance. One second you’ll think you’re done, and the next you’ll never want to let him go. That’s love, Bo. It’s a f...... merry-go-round that leaves you dizzy and disoriented. You’re going to want to scream and get pissed, because it’s worth it in the end. You’ll want to forget you’re even pissed when he does something stupid that makes you smile. And you’ll want to pull your hair out during all the times in between. It’ll rock your world and leave you questioning your sanity. But it’s the best feeling ever when you embrace the crazy.”

Standalone though part of a larger series
Told from both POVs
Minor editing issues throughout
I have loved every book in the series and this one is no exception. The past few books have been filled with hysterical dialogue and pranks so this was a nice change of pace. This book is far more emotional than the last few
Bo is an identical twin. To be more specific she is the "good twin". The one you can always count on, the one who cleans up the other messes, the one who gets walked all over.
Jax is a hottie McHotterson who owns a gym and is just looking for a good time. He isn't trying to settle down and definitely isn't into nice, shy girls. Which is exactly why he is dating the bad twin....well at least until she deems him to be too nice and sends the good twin in to break up with him.
Bo has every intention of breaking up with Jax for her sister. That is until she sees him and realizes her sister is supposed to spend 3 weeks in Hawaii with him and his family. Being the good twin she is she can't let him face his family after her sister committed to going with him.
I don't want to give too much away but let's just say the first week of their trip is pretty funny. She is desperately trying to stay clothed and away from Jax and he is trying to figure out what alien being invaded her body.
By the end of the trip real feelings exist but can Jax get past the lie?
Great read. Great characters. Great plot. Loved it and can't wait to read the next book. I have been waiting for Bella's book for ages!
