I've used coolers like this for over 20 years in a tractor trailer.
Keep your expectations realistic, and they work well.
These coolers draw around 4 amps.
Igloo coolers are also sold at two of the larger Truck Stop chains, but the Amazon price is better. In a pinch you can usually find a replacement power cord at the TA/Petro truck stops.
The cooler will take 4-5 hours to cool down initially from 'warm'. Don't fill it with warm items and plug it in, expecting miracles.
You can avoid the ice problems you sometimes experience by wiping out any moisture that accumulates in the cooler when it's running over long periods of time..
As an OTR trucker, I'll unplug my cooler for a few hours periodically, let it 'drefrost' somewhat, and wipe it out with a few paper towers.
I try to keep some bottled water or canned soda as a base layer in the bottom of the cooler. This helps extend the carry over capacity of the cooler it it's unplugged for a few hours.
If you are keeping perishable items in the cooler, you'll want to make sure you check the cooler is running. The LED light on the power plug helps. I try to position the plug so I can see the LED light when driving, and also place my hand over the exhaust vent at times to feel that the fan is working.
The fan, or fans, are the only moving parts in this type of cooler that will wear out, eventually. Using them in a truck, 300 days a year or more, I usually get 1-2 years of use before the fan dies, or slows enough it needs to be replaced.
It's rigid, solid and operates quietly. It does what it's suppose to do, cooling down. I usually unplug it before going to bed and start ut again in the morning. I have had it for over a week now with no problems.
Somehow I feel it's a bit small for me. So, I'm giving it to a brother and I'm buying the big 40 quart one.
Ao far so good. No problems.
I have read several reviews complaining about the socket/cord melting down and not being able to handle the power, for me though I haven't had that issue. The cord is thick and tough.
Few things i have noticed is that if you just drop the lid so it shuts, it won't shut. You have to push on it for it to close properly. Check out the pics.

I’ve tried leaving it overnight at my hotel, but the temperature increased around 10 degrees the morning of so I wouldn’t recommend it for long-term use unless the items you're trying to cool aren’t very perishable. That or if you put in more ice/ice packs every several hours or so. I also suggest getting a small thermometer to track the temperature of your items.
It’s pretty big so don’t try to squeeze a full car of people on a road trip, but the large size makes it great for carrying a bunch of stuff. I’ve had mine for a few months and I’ve never had any problems with it. There’s definitely a lot of factors to keep in mind, but overall, this product has worked as advertised and I haven’t had any problems with it. For the price, you won’t find a better thermoelectric cooler.

The cooling part works fine. I have no complaints there.
Had about the equivalent of 6 to 7 cans of pop in which is much less than its stated full capacity. Picked it up from the truck seat and the handle separated from the cooler which went crashing down on the ground, separating the top from the cooler hinges, so it is of no use any more.. after 3 days. Would have thought that the handle would not separate from the cooler with so little weight in the cooler. VERY DISSATISFIED and have returned the product !!
