Anyways, you want to know more about the cooler itself. This cooler is great. It is very large. You can fit so much food in here. My wife and I go camping quite a bit. If we are going to be gone or more than two days we will bring the cooler with us. It can fit all of the cold stuff we need for our trip.
It really does hold in the cold a lot longer than your average cooler. With dry ice and several containers filled with water and then frozen, we can get about three days worth, without having to add anything. Actually you have to be careful with dry ice, because anything near it will probably freeze, not just keep it cold.
It has two wheels and an extendable handle. I have had no issues with rolling it, even full of food and drinks. It looks like it weighs a ton, but when you need to lift it to get it in your vehicle, it is not as heavy as it looks. It has handles on the sides for easy lifting. The lid hinges open. It does not come all the way off. The lid also has two cup holders built into it. Another plus, is that it has a drainage spout at the bottom of the cooler.
The only negatives I have found is, first of all, it takes up quite a bit of room in my car. So, if going on a short trip I just assume take a smaller cooler and adding ice every day. Also, if the cooler is empty or almost empty it has a tendency to tip over easy. More of an annoyance than anything else.
All in all it is a great cooler to have. It holds a lot of food and keeps it cool for a lot longer than your average cooler. I highly recommend it if you have the room and on an extended stay without a fridge. If you found this review helpful, please click the "yes" button bellow. Thanks
My only complaint is the darn wheels! Why oh why Igloo must you put such wimpy dinky wheels on your coolers? And why oh why must you keep using the metal rod that snaps into a slot and will eventually loosen so the wheel pop out and can't be kept on. Every single Igloo rolling cooler we've purchased with these wheels on them have eventually fallen apart. I'm hoping this will be different. I bought this for hubby for Christmas and we've only taken it out once. Today is 1 month after Christmas so I will update my review as we use it more.
Takes up less floor space
nice height for multi uses
Lots of space inside
Handle adjust to multiple heights, easily goes up and down
Dinky wheels, only good for pulling on hard flat surfaces, NOT grass, sand, asphalt, rocks, etc.
Don't sit on the cooler! Why can't they make one that can double as a seat?
It will keep beers cold for about 24 hours at 85 degrees in the shade. I added a 10 pound bag of ice to already cold beers in a little bit of water and kept it out in the garage.
Wheels and pull handle have been sturdy for a couple years. The top on one of mine got knocked off, a little too easily, but it clicked back in. The top now seems to come off way too easy :-(. I normally duct tape the lid down for travel anyhow.
