About the Author

Emmanuel Acho picked up a football and made it to the NFL. He picked up a microphone and won a Primetime Emmy for his groundbreaking online series, Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man, amassing more than 90 million views to date. All this by the age of thirty, because of his ability to think and act illogically.


Emmanuel, the son of Nigerian immigrant parents, grew up in Dallas with his three siblings. He is a 2021 Sports Emmy winner, Fox Sports analyst (cohost of FS1’s Speak), and television personality. He is a former NFL linebacker and has a master’s degree in sports psychology from the University of Texas.

Emmanuel Acho grew up in Dallas with his three siblings, the son of Nigerian immigrant parents. In 2012 he was drafted into the NFL by the Cleveland Browns, and later played with the Philadelphia Eagles, while earning a master’s degree in sports psychology at the University of Texas in the off-seasons. In 2016 he left the NFL for ESPN, where he served as the youngest national football analyst, and was named a 2018 Forbes Under 30 Selection. He is now a Fox Sports analyst and the creator of the ongoing online video series “Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man.”

This page in the book has extra paper sticking out instead of being even with the other pages like a normal book. I don’t have time to do a return or exchange. Otherwise, I would send this back because it’s a defect. The actual book’s content is good work on the author’s part. The author gets 5 stars even if I haven’t finished the book, but whoever sent this defect doesn’t get 5 stars.
