Huang Dehai is a deputy editor of the Sinan Literary Journal and is author of the collection Reading Now is Too Late and other works. He was born in 1977.

Xiang Jing was born in 1981 and is also a deputy editor of the Sinan Literary Journal. Her works include the collection Expression in Our Time.

I'm half-way through this book and it's great! It features over 20 short stories with related historical artifacts and paintings. The paintings range from ancient to modern times. Personally I would've preferred less modern paintings, but I understand why they were included. Each artifact/painting has an informative caption. There are also some short info boxes that explain some cultural or historical points. I find the translation to be satisfactory.

The book is a compact, medium size that fits easily on my bookshelf. The title is in raised metallic blue and red lettering. It looks better in-person than it does online. The layout of the book is easy to read.
