Finally ~ It took a while for these fantastic 6 can set to arrive at my door. Right on the morning my old stock ran out, I saw though kitchen window. a USPS guy walking towards my door with a pretty big Amazon label box. I ran out of my house and lifted it up. It was heavy ! That moment I was relieved it would be 6 pack-set ( actually 2 sets I ordered on an Amazon deal, which I cannot see everyday ) as advertised, not just one can as some negative reviewers claim. I opened one can really cautiously because it may pop hard and spray the ground coffee all over ( You need to be pretty careful in this opening ceremony ). Smelled great ~ genuine Illy coffee aroma ! I saw the can bottom to check expiration date and still two years until 2022, which means this coffee almost just came out of illy factory. My wife and I are now sipping new fresh illy intenso coffee while thanking Amazon to provide this amazing coffee. Starting good weekend ~

Despite I do not like formated wines, I love the ground intenso espresso dalla Illy. Their coffee assemblage is always the same can after can. It is a great 100% arabica that comes from different places of the world. I love to open the can and breath this powerful coffee scent. The coffee is expensive especially here in the US. It has to travel from Italy I guess. The Illy team select and torrefy this meraviglia with care. Some people think Illy is just marketing, some other hate its strong and bitter taste. I think on the contrary it is a dark intense coffee with a wonderful aroma of toasted bread and chocolate. For me, it is the sign of a good day that is to be starting. I drink espressi morning and after lunch. Ristretti. I love it. It my daily ritual. Of course there are other coffee I love that I keep for special occasions, some of them still coming from Illy. I love the caramel touch of the Brazilian and the jasmin in the Ethiopian can for exemple. I recommend an espresso machine to obtain the velvety little layer of foam on the top.

Seriously people this is the best coffee ever and I am a coffee snob. I traveled to Iceland with my brother a couple years ago and we both fell in love with not only the country but also the coffee. Now I know it was partly because of the freshness of the water there but this coffee is served all over the island. (I finally asked!) Now it's all I drink and I have my friends stuck on it too. Pure heaven in a cup!

My Italian friend tells me illy is the best Italian coffee for making espresso at home. Even with my cheap coffee maker I love the taste of my morning cappuccino using illy ground Intenso coffee. The boxes of 6 8.8oz cans are great for home use. Each can is pressurized with inert nitrogen gas to maintain the freshness of the ground coffee so I buy extra when the price is good. My most recent purchase was from Amazon although I have bought from several third-party sellers on Amazon.com and have always received products with long expiration dates and zero packaging damage.

This is the best coffee hands down!! Its strong and has the best aroma. I do not like my coffee to be chocolaty which this is not. It has an amazing strong taste of espresso. I was first introduced to this coffee by my aunt in Italy. I have tried more than one of the Illy coffees and each is great but this one my favorite! Even there decaf coffee is the best you will ever have! This is a must try if you have never had it before. I make vanilla lattes with this particular coffee (espresso dark roast).

I've purchased this coffee, in packs of six, several times. The cans come packaged differently each time (sometimes in a six-pack box, sometimes six cans wrapped together in tape) but it all seems to be the same coffee. It makes great espresso. I wouldn't pay the store price for it ($13-$15 per can) so appreciate being able to buy the six pack at quite a savings.

Tastes horrible and watery! Illy changes their original dark espresso blend, which came in black colored cans, to this watery terrible version. It no longer tastes like espresso. For the life of me I don’t know why they would make such a bad decision. Illy, bring back the original espresso blend!

Dangerous packaging and crooks

Illy coffee is generally good. I ordered 6 cans of this coffee and they were so pressurized that they exploded when opening, spraying half the coffee ground all over the room.

This is not only potentially very dangerous, but now I do not trust the coffee itself.

Worst of all, there is no link to customer service on getting a refund because “this item is not eligible for return or refund.”

EDIT: Downloaded the amazon app and received a refund so upped the review to two stars. Still very dangerous situation.
