I found this book very short, each chapter containing 1 to 2 pages of lists and nothing motivational about it. Example from chapter 1: "When I was young I ate more because people told me I was too skinny. Now that I'm older I eat less because people tell me I'm too fat. This is over! History will not repeat itself; I'm making radical changes in my life for ME!" The author never goes into the changes he has made to address anything. It reads more like a laundry list of things we all have been confronted with in life; bad habits, people's interference of what we should do, voices in our head making us doubt ourselves. The problem is, he never states what he personally did to address the list.
I think my own journal is more inspiring than this and at least reads more fluidly.
I'm glad I got this for free. There's some talk going around the Wordpress community that a lot of what this guy says is "fiction"!
Kimanzi states his desire to overcome fear and inaction by taking action. We can't think our way to our future. We can only own our lives, thereby owning the outcome.
This is a must read for every generation. Old and young alike will learn and be inspired.
How much better is it to know than to hide? One answer is in this book.
