2007 Platinum Edition of her worldwide bestseller contains four bonus audio tracks ('Heartbreaker', 'Centerfold', 'Fingers' and the Bimbo Jones Remix of 'U + Ur Hand') plus a bonus 80 minutes DVD of material including live performances, music videos, and behind-the-scenes studio footage! I'm Not Dead is everything it should be: a stylistic evolution, a stunning display of her craft as a vocalist and songwriter and a very personal scrapbook of everywhere she's been and everywhere she's going. This is Pink in top form, as brutally honest and as soulfully vocal as only she can be. The album includes 'Stupid Girls', and includes production collaborations with Billy Mann, Max Martin, Luke Gottwald, Butch Walker, Mike Elizondo, and the iconic duo The Indigo Girls.

While I still can't get enough of "Who Knew" - and I agree with another reviewer that the song must be one of the best songs ever - I'm equally smitten with the energy, catchy tunes and attitude of "Leave Me Alone/I'm Lonely" and "U and UR Hand". I've had a hard time getting myself to stop playing them long enough to give the other tracks a fair listen, so I'm still discovering gems among them.
If bad language bothers you or if you have kids you don't want to hear it (and you don't want to have to wait till they're not around to listen to this CD), I'd recommend the clean version. I personally enjoy the additional attitude and emphasis that it brings to these songs and don't find it objectionable. My only regret is that I waited so long to get this CD and didn't buy it last winter when I first heard "Who Knew". I also wish I'd discovered Pink sooner - impressed she writes her song and love the voice - who knew?
THANK GOODNESS. :)
Not that it's good to sleep on a decent pop artist these days, but if I would have bought the original release of I'm Not Dead in 2006, I would be less inclined to have purchased this one!
And yes, Fingers is one of the greatest offerings!
I liked it at first, but was like, "I thought this was gonna be better."
What makes it wicked is it's got a Dance/House beat with rock riffs. I love it so, so much!!
All of the above describe the beat. And the lyrics are very...thoughtfully explicit. :)
the standouts are
Who Knew (a slept on ballad), Nobody Knows, U + Ur Hands (Bimbo Jones Remix), I Got Money Now, Fingers and Heartbreaker.
Ones who have yet to purchase Pink's I'm Not Dead CD PERIOD, should buy this version!!!!
For 6 bucks more than the 14-track original, you get 4 awesome, awesome bonus tracks that were only on import versions of the original release and 11 videos in all. Well worth the money.
I bought this edition on a 2-day shipping deal, which was six dollars and ninety something.
Not even 7 bucks!! Now, I'm enjoying this album so much and I'm sure I'll watch the videos more too!
Nobody Knows being my favorite. So damn relate-able. I like how in the video Pink is looking down, kind of out of tune, and then one of her friends looks over at her, and smiles, wanting her to participate, and she feigns it. <3
