Mr. Arnatt has both a great eye for photography and a sense of humor. I found the tight shots of found items, toys and garbage (or rubbish as the British like to say) quite fascinating. By changing their context these rather mundane objects are transformed into art. I suspect that some people may debate whether or not the shots of the garbage are in fact art, but I would argue that Arnatt has turned garbage into found art. As for his sense of humor the notes I think speak for themselves. I particularly like the notes/signs that Arnatt got from a market. I mean "female cucumbers" and "nerve tables for cats and dogs" are just plain hilarious. Even more hilarious are the notes from his wife which kind of remind of notes left for me by my ex- wife (even though I do not think I would have the guts to publish some of my notes). All in all, this is not your typical book of photography and I think that it why I found it so entertaining.
