About the Author
Author Elizabeth Gail Knachel found herself once again alone and single after her engagement ended just months before her wedding day. With her hopes of getting married and starting a family dashed, she tried to cope with the fear, guilt, and depression that followed her new life as a single woman over thirty-five. A self-proclaimed "single" expert, Elizabeth wrote "I'm Single, Not Dead!" to reassure other beautiful single women over thirty-five they are not alone in their emotions and quest for personal happiness. When she's not sharing her life story, Elizabeth is a working professional, artist, and children's book illustrator. She holds a master's degree from DePaul University in new media and a bachelor's degree from Purdue University in English. Elizabeth currently lives in the northern suburbs of Chicago with her dog, Reagan.
