As someone who always reads Soren Baker, I'm not surprised that it's a great read. I am surprised that there are many facets of Tech N9ne that I didn't know. And I'm a rap head. Leave it to Soren to dig these gems out of the most guarded dudes on the planet. Soren asks the questions that many don't, which is why he gets these rare answers. I recommend the book...actually any book or article by Soren Baker.

Soren Baker takes the reader on an in-depth look into his life and connection to the rapper Tech N9ne. He does a great job leading the reader into the developing story of how he came to be good friends with Tech. He writes on a really personal level and feels like the reader is right there with Soren experiencing it for himself. Great read.

This book is a well written introduction to rap and to the rap writer Soren Baker. Baker approaches rap from a different angle than most rap writers. His enthusiasm and appreciation for the genre is evident. The book is very informative.

This book was a great read. It not only informed the reader of the obstacles faced by the author, but it also shared how the author was persistent and eventually became a contributor to the hip hop art form (e.g., respected journalist, editor, manager, beat distributor, networker for future rap collaborations, writer, etc.). Furthermore, the book gave a detailed storyline on how Tech N9ne became the "independent rap giant" that he is today. I would highly recommend this book for Tech N9ne fans, people that love rap / hip hop, and for anyone that wants to read a model on how to make a dream into a reality.
