I got this as a free offer from Amazon during a promotion. That being said, I really enjoyed the twists in the story. As a comics fan I will be picking up volume 2 to see the next adventure.

I would've bought this if I knew how good the story was and it was during a promotion.

With the Iron Fist story coming to Netflix I wanted to get an idea of what the hero was all about before I plan my weekend binge when it comes out. I really enjoy Matt Fractions work so I chose this series to start. Great story. A lot going on here but it was well thought out and easy to follow. The art is great! On to book 2

Thumbs up! Hopefully the show can eventually get as good as this is. A good starting place for any would-be Iron fist fan

This being the first time I got a chance to read about Iron Fist, i was anticipating a stupid story. I only saw him in Marvel ultimate alliance 2 and thought he was a stupid character. I was definitely wrong. He has a really cool background...Many backgrounds. In fact there were a few Iron Fists. This book discuses a few of them. Some Chinese versions and some American versions. Brubaker wasn't in his Captain America form, but it was a pretty good story. Fraction also had some pretty good work, but not my style. Seems more like watercolors than sharp distinct Ivan Reis or Jim Lee type work. I'd get this book. It's under $11.00 right now and it's a good read. You may end up really liking it. At least you can add a Iron Fist book to the collection...worst case scenario.

Great tale with wonderful sub plots. If you are new to the Iron fist story you will still understand this edition. But if you know even a little of the character you will love the different perspective this gives on the Immortal Iron fist.

Brubaker works his magic on Iron Fist just as he did with Cap and other characters. This is a great collection to start with whether you are new to Iron Fist (and the other Heroes for Hire) or are already familiar with his old escapades.

Wasn't sure what to expect, and wasn't disappointed.
I have very little experience with iron fist, and since there was a sale I thought why not.
Having read Fractions work before I knew this would be a good book, and I wasn't disappointed.

This is the first volume of the current Iron Fist series that Marvel is publishing. Like other comics Ed Brubaker has done for this publisher he combines elements of spy fiction within the context of a superhero story.

Free on Digital Deals Day.. good story but continues on in the next volume.. the art also suits the martial arts theme better than the way Iron Fist was drawn before.. gives more depth to the Iron Fist mythology..
